September 3, 2024Sep 3 I’ll never get over someone on here putting forward “All Fired Up” by The Saturdays in a thread trying to establish the most famous song in the world. That is one of their best though, along with “Ego” and “Up”. Basic but my Oasis faves are the 3 in the Top 20 right now. All Saints: “Pure Shores” “Black Coffee” and “Never Ever” are 3 of the best girl band singles ever - unfortunately the rest of their discography doesn’t match those. Take That: “The Flood”, “Rule The World” and “Back For Good” are my faves and they do deserve immense kudos for longevity.
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Guess if the voting started around this time, we'd have probably seen a different result for Oasis? Nice to see a climb nonetheless, mad for it x
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Oasis and The Saturdays, only Buzzjack Oasis have some amazing songs I just wish they were sang by other people as their voices grate Love The Saturdays, they were great at the time however got to admit I don’t think their stuff has aged as well as some other iconic girl bands and I probably rated them a bit too high Edited September 3, 2024Sep 3 by Lukuzz

September 3, 2024Sep 3 The Saturdays 🤣 . Didn't even cross my mind that they'd be this high. Up and Ego are bangers. But that still leaves them some distance from being the 13th best group in the history of music, I would contend...
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Author Tomorrow we find out who JUST missed the top 10 and I can tell you we have our first MULTI 30 pointer act.
September 3, 2024Sep 3 The Saturdays are (were) basically peak BuzzJack culture and they had some huge fans on this site, if anything I thought they'd finish higher! Edited September 3, 2024Sep 3 by Jessie Where
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Tomorrow we find out who JUST missed the top 10 and I can tell you we have our first MULTI 30 pointer act. Well I know my 30 will be a multi 30 but also have a high shun rate, so that could well be the end of the road for it.
September 3, 2024Sep 3 All Saints: “Pure Shores” “Black Coffee” and “Never Ever” are 3 of the best girl band singles ever - unfortunately the rest of their discography doesn’t match those. Did you ever listen to their Red Flag album from their comeback? In a rare moment of agreement with Joseph on music taste, it genuinely is their best album. And I think that One Strike has grown to be my favourite of their singles, or at least tied with Pure Shores and Black Coffee
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Love this forum at times and seeing The Saturdays poll higher than Oasis is so peak this forum  I’d have probably ranked The Saturdays a couple of places higher if this was a few years back but I still gave them some points. I can definitely see how they were huge on here  I think they filled a gap during a time of Girls Aloud being on hiatus and Sugababes having no original Sugababes perfectly. I always admire their spirit and how they really chased after that number one single what they eventually did manage to get. Its funny in a sense how after that the determination / interest within the group seemed to dwindle from the members themselves. Edited September 3, 2024Sep 3 by Jordanlee1402
September 3, 2024Sep 3 I'm salty towards Oasis and their ticket prices right now but do have a lot of love for their back catalogue, especially the first two albums. I predict my +30 will be out tomorrow
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Going off this forum I think my 30 pointer could be safe but have a feeling another act may get the win overall. This is actually more difficult to call than what the solo artist categories were however! Always love these countdowns though and seeing other posters music tastes in more detail
September 3, 2024Sep 3 I'm guaranteed at least one of my votes in the top 10 after losing none since Blur. I did however vote for Radiohead (16), Blondie (21) and Oasis (19) last time, if I'd done so again the latter would be at least one place ~higher~ but for now I look forward to The Saturdays' eventual reunion sending the nation back into meltdown :kink:
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Im not surprised the Saturdays are this high but for me personally they are far 2 high, i do like one or 2 songs from them.
September 3, 2024Sep 3 And there goes my 30 pointer, though I had hoped Oasis would be top 10. Anyone got a spare couple of tickets they'd like to sell me? :) The Saturdays were never the best girl band but they did have some great songs, 'Ego', 'Higher' and 'Disco Love' being my faves
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Saturdays have many bops for me, 'Ego' is my favourite of the upbeat songs of theirs but 'Issues' is my fave ballad from them too. Am a fan of Oasis too but not for a top 30 of mine oops. Still an iconic band though. 'Little By Little', 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' would be my top 3 - not in that order though.
September 3, 2024Sep 3 Oasis were glorious for two years but lost some of that spark pretty quickly yet still turned out some great songs thereafter. They are also one of the most important bands of the last 30 years, and actually have a case for topping that list too. The Saturdays left no impression on me. I heard a stack of their singles as they came out and I forgot them pretty quickly. I can name two members (Rochelle and Frankie) and register they covered Depeche Mode's IJCGE but beyond that I know nothing about them. But this is Buzzjack and about the only place in the world that still remembers them fondly.

I can name two members (Rochelle and Frankie) and register they covered Depeche Mode's IJCGE but beyond that I know nothing about them. But this is Buzzjack and about the only place in the world that still remembers them fondly. You'd be surprised! There's quite often some viral tweets / TikToks about The Saturdays. It seems like there's a lot of young adults (i.e. children when the group were active) who like them / miss them / want to see them live for the first time! The eventual Saturdays reunion will outperform Oasis', mark my words! ( :kink: )
September 4, 2024Sep 4 I’m a little surprised The Saturdays are this high. I forgot they had a big BuzzJack following.
