Somehow I thought 'Get Over You' might have been the song referenced in the other thread. Some great pop songs in here.

 

Going with Mcfly for first vote. I don't remember the first song and the second was a lazy cover (and I am going to see them live later in the year with a friend and hope they sing neither!)

Going with Westlife with McFly not far behind.

 

Millionaire and Fairytale Of New York to excel!! :cheer:

Westlife & McFly are both utter garbage but gone with the latter first for what they did to Don't Stop Me Now (and the fact the public rewarded them with a #1 for that)

Not the most stellar round, I'll go with McFly too, a crap original paired with a pointless cover.

 

I like this Westlife song, felt it was pretty underrated :lol:

Easily McFly here. 'Please Please' feels forgotten anyway and it's not great aside from the video i guess. probably why they need something else tagged on as a double a side to help it but that unnecessary and rubbish Queen cover of all things...

 

On subject of forgotten songs I feel the Busta and Linkin Park song is massively forgotten too. I listened to it again last night and a lot of the comments on YouTube were 'I forgot this song existed' :') (it's decent enough though.

I’ll be voting out FONY forever I think.

 

Depending on how results go in the early rounds, I may be tempted to switch to FONY at some point!

McFly - I always thought there was a long sequence of notes in 'I'll Be OK' (one of their #1s from the year before) which sounded exactly like 'Don't Stop Me Now', and then they ended up covering it and getting another #1.
