July 29, 20241 yr I'm probably the biggest Katy Perry fan that I know in real life but this era isn't doing it for me and I'm starting to feel real disappointed. She looks incredible too so it's so frustrating. I tried to like "Woman's World" but there's no denying it was a major misfire and I just couldn't force myself to get into it (I did enjoy the big budget video though). This new one just seems like standard Becky Hill fodder and we already get about fifteen of those a year. Where's the personality?

August 8, 20241 yr I’m sad. Katy used to be innovative (well In the pop world) this sounds like it could have been done by anyone. It’s ok but it’s very beige and dance pop by numbers.
August 8, 20241 yr It's better than Woman's World for sure and if I add it to my playlist and don't press skip enough it might get stuck in my head. But overall I expected better.

August 9, 20241 yr It’s giving generic Becky Hill/Ella Henderson song that the British GP adore. I can’t see it doing well though, this era feels doomed right from the start.
August 9, 20241 yr It's generic for sure but I enjoy it for what it is! Although it does make me wish that she hadn't snubbed the superior Walking on Air. She could have had her dance diva moment a decade ago!
August 9, 20241 yr It's generic, sure but it's still an absolute banger and I like how the video illustrates the Ibiza kind of feel to the song (not sure if it actually is filmed in Ibiza, but alas) I think they're trying to play it safe after 'Woman's World', and so soon after too.

August 9, 20241 yr This certainly bops and I’m enjoying it! Think it’ll age better than Woman’s World but it has less identity than that did. The lyrics really are terribly empty of any meaning but as a whole song, it feels like a complete package, it’s feel good, great progression, lots of hooks, doesn’t end up after 2:20 and actually gives you a full experience. It’s not going to revive her career or inspire anyone who has already turned off her, but I’ll certainly get enjoyment out of it.
