Think the reason it's hated is because people believe it's success is artificially boosted by BTS fans using streaming bots and mass downloading rather than people legitimately enjoying it. I wouldn't say it's that bad but can see why people have issues with it

Yeah I get that and I have no doubt it was boosted by bots, but it still shouldn't be on a hate list based on musical merits!

It lacks all substance. It comes off to me like a cheaply made song that a Disney child would perform. Like, listen to Hero off the Starstruck Disney channel movie soundtrack and tell me Who wouldn't fit right alongside it
