great to see my 18 in CLANN and my faves BABYMETAL (did penalise them a bit for already knowing the song so well but still gave them a good amount of points, also obligatory shouldn't have outpeaked my BABYMETAL entries xx) in the top 10.

Zanmatony and Lookylion don't deserve bottom 10 :(

28th is a bit disappointing but it had hardly any hype so wasn't expecting an awful lot. A surprise snub from Séyetana though :o at least it's not bottom 10 I suppose. Also it was one Rich shared to me months back so thanks for the recommendation Rich ^_^ my 3rd most streamed of the year too x

Not surprised at Kath winning with the Peggy Gou soundalike, straight into my playlist that one. (Although I got the animals wrong and got confused :D)

Happy with my place as well too, I thought I would probably do quite well but it was nice to hit the sweet spot of crossover between the pop and indie voters this time :)

Four nations got their first top 10 of the year tonight, bringing the total number who have managed at least one this year to 45 - well done to you all, I can only hope my time will come again ^_^ Especially pleased to see Cheiron up in 4th!

 

I'm glad my gold helped rally Land of DW into the top 20 - my other medals couldn't quite do that for Cumulonimbia or Singerpurear in this contest, but (don't quote me on the rest of this, yet...) the former looks like they've grabbed 20th place on the EOY, not far behind Bronzil in 19th (phew, albeit it looks like Neliönoir pipped me by 1 point, and as I started the year with 18th I thus finish in my lowest position of it), and just ahead of Cadelicia in 21st with the points deduction presumably costing them an EOY top 20 spot, argh!

 

Thank you Chez for hosting, the graphics were phenomenal, and the animal reveal at the end made for a suitably unpredictable finale!

Oop Ajanaeda not getting a new peak after all :ph34r: but still a new peak for Grace Davies, kwen of the low top 10 x

 

Happy to see Hushkanukia ending up in the top 5 instead although they were both strong pop entries for me! Also oh my the late surge for Aeroche into the silver medal position, I was actually half expecting that to win but ofc not surprised at Kath pulling it off either, a banger top 2 there anyway (also great to see an inspired and non-recycled artist taking the win btw! even if it's a bit of a Peggy Gou-alike xx) Klum's entry was a little on the generic side for me but I see the appeal, overall quite a strong top 5 in general as the CMAT song was quite a grower for me, nice at Cheiron sneaking a first top 10 (and top 5) in in their debut year, and a first top 10 for Macromia already as well we love to see!

 

My other two medallists both coming top 20, am a little gutted at Trifoski just missing out on the top 10 though and feel Land of DW deserved a fair bit better too although I think I remember them floundering at the bottom of the scoreboard for quite a while so a decent result in the end I suppose! Lots more good stuff in the 11-20 region as well, all in all 11 of my votes finished top 20 which is pretty good going, pleasantly surprised to see Scotland 2 finishing amongst those x

 

Was keeping an eye on East Rukahavian looking like a possible top 10 dark horse for a while during the results so a bit of a shame they faded to as low as 25th but still at least a better result than they've been getting the rest of the year. The real underrated corner entries are Utopia and Terra Avium, boo hiss at 'Sweetsmoke' not being appreciated, I for one liked it way more than Chez's actual winner pssh x

And omg my 7th Top 10 of the year :cheeseblock: that’s a record for me, so thank you everyone for enjoying RATATATA as much as I did. I saw quite a few 18’s coming their way, so I appreciate you, I really do!!!

 

And I believe 8th is probably the most position I’ve ended up, with two this year alone!!!

I think I voted for or considered voting for most of the top 10, super glad to see Hushky get another major smash and I should have seen Macromia smashing coming considering people were going nuts for it in the semis! I’m kinda convinced Aeroche/Klum are the next BJSC power couple :lol: thought UVLand deserved a bit more but I’m glad I voted for it; it’s always nice to support a Power Ranger (I forgot where I ranked Becky G when she got sent) :P Thelonia and Harmonica done super dirty though, I guess America isn’t the only place where people need a brain check x

 

Glad to get another top 20, honestly this string of hits is just what I need to build momentum into next year and the 100th and this has been my favorite run of entries since Luke Bond -> Swimming Girls -> Tremors -> Jealous Friend, so maybe this will convince me to crawl through the archives next contest and trust my gut when it comes to entries. Thanks to everyone who voted!

Bøtanikkä and Macromia were also too low in my rankings, both sounded huge and I'm thrilled they were top 10. For what it's worth I would've picked Babymetal to win.

 

Yay for my top two, Mothertopia and Jupiterdonia, together in 13th and 14th. Looking at the results, New Lexico in the bottom 10 is my only major complaint!

 

Last place is still higher than I anticipated when I reconfirmed, considering I got vetoed and this was my backup entry. I'm satisfied that it found a few fans :D Pretty sure it's only my second wooden spoon but I might need to fact-check that.

 

The animal theme was wonderful! So well-organized with all the different GIFs and emojis. A thoroughly enjoyable visit to Terra Avium :D Thanks Chez for the great hosting effort!

Congratulations Kath :cheer: that is three winners in a row that I've voted for now, yay. Fantastic to see Aeroche as high as 2nd as well. On the other side of the top 10, I'm delighted that my 18 pointer from Danæviia scraped in there, plus Macromia delivered some justice for SOFIA ISELLA just ahead in 9th.

 

My entry didn't quite live up to the top 5 predictions but still pleased with 12th, that was the highest I was all night!
