I've joined in and bought a copy of "APT." to help towards this week's chart. Also blasting it on Spotify/Amazon Music/Youtube to get up those last minute streams (well spotify/youtube now invalid now it's Thursday, so Amazon music streams it is). :cheer:

what else is out apart from new Bruno/Central Cee's new album?

FKA Twigs has an album out, but I doubt it's going to do much. If we're lucky we might see some album tracks chart briefly in the lower half of the streaming charts (hope she proves me wrong or something goes viral!).

Teddy Swims also has a new album out - expect a boost for "Bad Dreams" and "Are You Even Real" may chart. Although "The Door" & "Lose Control" may prevent any new tracks charting.

Also just realised JoJo has an EP/album coming out as well *_* Not that it will trouble the charts sadly.

Just no to another Central Cee #1.

Spare us please.

He can’t get a #1 on his own. He needs his mate Dave to help him

noooo Dave stay away from Central Cee!!

Tate McRae-Sports Car is also out on Fri.

also Sam Fender-Arm's length, single 2 from his forthcoming new album.

Great sales for Robbie - they also got it so right from a multibuy point of view, rather than dropping 100s of variants they done a bundle of a CD, 2 x Cassettes and a signed poster for £24.99

I also thought the label was smart and knew the target audience

no point in releasing 9 vinyl colour variants if you're audience is the Karens that still buy CDs

I really want Lola to get it because I'm not convinced it may get another chance, although I do love 'APT' and wouldn't mind seeing it nab the top spot.

Either way at least it won't be you-know-who!

Well people bemoan the lack of British talent then you have a half Adele half Amy Whinehouse talent/personality with a global hit and people are like let’s make this ahh pa tap pa tap number one. Baffling

I'd rather Messy, Apt is on mediocre figures on streaming, not even 400K on Spotify, so basically there cos of Alexa's hand.

I feel if Messy misses this week, next week is gonna be CC/Dave sadly

It's a good song and very well liked so not that baffling really. I've seen pretty much an equal amount of support on here for Lola too, the general consensus seems to be that people want both to get stints at the top.

Don't think it's just Alexa, YouTube is gargantuan.

I do think you tend to make too many assumptions, such as:

- Sootify and Amazon are the only significant platforms

- Because Spotify’s the only platform to give us raw daily figures its chart contribution must be reliable and others’ must be unreliable

- Spotify raw numbers are proportional to Spotify chart sales

In fact we don’t even know if Gracie is #1 on Spotify after allowing for free / premium ratios, and “APT” may be in a better position than it seems to be. We just don’t know enough to say “this is how the official chart should look”.

I have bought the download of Apt. A pop classic which deserves a week at No1.

Why is anyone still pretending Amazon (or "Alexa") isn't a genuine valid way of streaming music???

Messy's still a huge hit regardless though lol. I love both songs and want them both to be #1 but let's not be snobbish about a pop song as well crafted as APT. is.

Its only been 3 weeks since youve mentioned Alexa, leave it until October at least :P

Amy Winehouse level talent?

if you go to Alexa and ask: play music, Alexa plays Apt

Apt had been literally 1+2 on Amazon for months

while on Spotify, True has been doing 200,000 more daily streams, thats 50% more, not a little bit more

As has been pointed out multiple times yet you still seem to be in denial, Spotify isn't the best all and end all off streaming.

They are also total streams on Spotify, noone knows the full ration of free to paid streams, and a paid stream has a lot more value than a free stream

Rose has a music video too which will also work in its favour , video streaming etc etc

So proud of Gracie's run at the top unlike a lot of people here, but its Apt and Messy's time now - I'm in this camp, they both deserve their time at the top.
