Probably further looks like they shipped all copies last week

When was that 2022?

2023 and thank god Miley stopped it from being the biggest song of that year

Whole chart mess this week don’t went 6 drake and partynext door track give other artists ideas find lope hole get round 3 track rule

Thought you wanted fresh music

Sprinter was nearly 2 years ago, and it was / is a banger. Would be great to see more rap at the top if Kendrick can hold on.

Yeah I agree. There are large swathes of the internet that can't hide their distaste for rap/hip-hop*, that took pride in posting incessantly in 2023 when no one but Morgan Wallen was hitting #1 on the Billboard charts. Fair enough if you want to acknowledge a statistical anomaly but they've gotten awfully quiet ever since it flipped back around.

*Once you notice the distinct language shift in how people express 'I don't like this song' for rap music vs. other genres, you never stop noticing it.

I have never seen a positive reaction from them for new entries anyway. Thera are never many or good enough new songs on chart lol

There have been 16 new or re-entries on singles chart top 40 in recent three weeks but always the complaints.

“Messy” was on 17.6k this time last week so that really is quite the drop for it - Kendrick wouldn’t be looking so comfortable at all without that drop. It also means “Apt.” could have been challenging for #1 if it hadn’t gone to ACR and would definitely be looking like the favourite for next week. :(

My thoughts exactly always complaining the charts a re stale bit as soon as a new entry happens something negative to say

So forever a footnote in Taylor's chart history that her UK Record-Breaking No.1 album spent 1 week in the Top 100 (or maybe even 200) because it was actually just a limited edition vinyl of an album that had already been No.1.

To be fair it's had 2 weeks top 100!

(and it's not exactly 'just a limited edition vinyl of Lover', they are all different recordings and it's only 8 songs from it)

It’s a live album of just 8 tracks…

lol not at all

it's 8 live tracks from the album.

It's the same thing repackaged yet again.

Baffling take when it's a live album. I can understand the discourse surrounding the Taylor's Version releases but this is just like any other live album (aside from its limited nature).

Yes I agree with this one, the live album is 100% a #1 in it's own right, and it's a incredible feat too not many acts get #1 albums out of live releases!

I agree it should count as a separate #1. It's also a quick cash grab so a pretty cheap way to break a record. I expect there are live versions of most of her other albums waiting to be pressed and other variations thereupon, stans will buy em.

Maybe i'm just cynical, maybe it doesn't matter because the album chart is a joke now anyway. Hey ho.

sure you didn't complain when Oasis, Noel, Liam did the same

if the album chart is a joke, don't follow it, pure and simple :)

RIP Rick Buckler of The Jam. Funeral Pyre was his finest moment IMO.
