Midweek #1 in UK!

Hopefully it holds up but haven’t seen the sales as of yet! If it does it would be her third #1 album here 😀. I think I’ll now get a physical this week to try and help out but her team hopefully will see this and add some more signed copies to the UK store.

I will say that End of the World is quite possibly the best single Miley ever released and that it did next to nothing is baffling. It deserved Top 10 at least and to stick around until at least ACR

Loving this, especially the second half. The one-two punch of Walk of Fame/Pretend You’re God… two of her absolute best back to back. Can’t unhear ‘we’re so beautiful, arseholes go back and forth’ i

Only just above 5k , at this stage she will be lucky to stay top 5, needs some tactics

OMG Walk Of Fame is 80’s fire!! Reminds me of Soft Cell !!

Golden Burning Sun is also very good!

Endless Summer Vacation has cemented itself as a seminal album for me because of memories attached to it. This doesn't quite match those dizzying heights but it's a fantastic album nonetheless. I agree about the second half being heaps of fun and experimentation and range. But the whole thing is a really good listen - something about her delivery on this album and the last just makes me transcend.

The three non-single highlights being Walk of Fame, Every Girl You’ve Ever Loved and Golden Burning Sun - all borderline perfection cheeseblock

Walk of Fame is a masterpiece specially the outro

"Pretend You're God" is fast becoming one of my favourites of the album. The last 90 seconds hits so hard. cheeseblock

Pitchfork giving this a 5.6 and calling Walk of Fame and Every Girl You've Ever Loved atrocious...

I guess we can't all have taste brat

Pitchfork is right with this being "a concept albun without concept", but slamming Walk of Fame is just insane.

After two listens this hasn't really opened up with me but there are some strong songs in there.

What I found weird is her recent need to criticize everything around Plastic Hearts. I know there were label issues etc., but the material is objectively among her strongest...

Such a great interview with so many little insights into each era — so intrigued to see where she goes next seeing as she mentioned 'Pirouette' by Model/Actriz bratcheeseblock

I think the concept is meant to be - big, cinematic album which it is...

So after a few more plays I definitely still like this album but the sequencing is starting to annoy me more as I'm finding it a bit incoherent and especially as the tracks merge so I can't even rectify it by reordering the tracks. Like I love Prelude as an introduction but it doesn't feel like it should then go in to Something Beautiful at all. And having two interludes, but then putting them either side of Easy Lover feels odd too, especially as they're quite jarring style wise.

#49 in midweeks for week 2!

Oh Miley! Really hope that this can be one of those albums where overtime it does well and certain tracks get a cult status ala Angels Like You. I really feel like there’s something really special about this project but it’s been handled in not the best way!

The movie is out end of the month. Hopefully that can help it out. My cinema has requested another screen for it coz it’s sold out one of them just about.

It feels like the album was climbing a huge mountain from the off, there seems to be little effort gone into the handling of it.

Honestly her team were ridiculous for not premiering the movie / the visuals at the same time as the album and by not having that as a second disc with the physical CD itself too!
