Posted April 7Apr 7 We partied pretty hard last edition so a bit more of a cool down may be needed for Spring... for this DREAMY POP contest I have two avenues in mind:Music from the sub-genre dreampop:(well known names in this field include the likes of Beach House, Mazzy Star and Slowdive but a more lengthy list can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dream_pop_artists)To widen the field... any pop song that you would describe as dreamy!"a style or feeling that is soothing, gentle, and evokes a sense of tranquility, often with a slightly ethereal or unreal quality"So hopefully this will be a happy medium for those who enjoy all-out pop and those who like their pop a bit more alt-leaning.Rules1. Your song must not have reached the top 100 in the U.K Singles chart.2. Your artist must not have an Artist Forum on Buzzjack.3. Any song the mods feel is giving other songs an unfair advantage (e.g. Sales) or somewhat fits the veto rules (popular on the forum) will still be vetoed.4. Each artist will be limited to one entry each so it's first come, first serve.5. Your song must not have been a top 20 hit in another song contest on BuzzJack. April 7Apr 7 Not sure on what exactly IS "Dream pop" but I googled it and my artist came up as one so I had to go for them and I tried to pick a song that I felt would suit what I thought would be "dreamy pop". It's my favourite song by them too

April 8Apr 8 I actually do have something for this - one of my favourite songs of the decade so far fits the 'dreamy' description - so I'll give it a go.
