Benson's been getting online hate from loud, annoying people for months - it means nothing and it's from the type of people who are looking for a reason not to be a fan.

He just scored his second highest peaking song so I think he's doing just fine.

No hate for Benson just wish BT would fall and SIHFSE or MM were higher up instead (nit that they performing shabby at all)

It’s just pub talk I think.

Haters go too criticisms are either a. Her appearance, or b. Nepotism… they seem to think that because her aunt (I believe it’s her aunt?) is Julia Donaldson who wrote the gruffalo and other children’s books, I struggle to see the correlation as they’re in completely different industries but haters have tunnel vision and use anything they can think of without actually thinking if it’s valid 🤣🤣

I think anyone complaining about privilege & nepotism, popular music might just not be for them. It's just a crummy argument to try and validate either the ick or a general dislike of someone's music with a veil of 'objectivity' so you can act superior to the people who were 'fooled' into liking them. Bottom rung discourse.

And bringing it up just serves to keep the artist in the conversation, so they'd be better off talking about the music they actually like and spreading those names around.

'Baller' climbing would love if this is a sign of it being the latest Eurovision song to transcend the contest and become a genuine hit but I doubt it, fingers crossed it now has a decent chance to make the top 40 at least though.

I suppose it's healthy news for the music industry to see Skye Newman getting an immediate follow-up hit so we have a new British name who might actually be a consistent hitmaker rather than just another TikTok one hit wonder. Can't say I particularly like 'Hairdresser' though so I'm not rushing to hear this new song.

• untalented

• nepo baby

• pretending to be working class

• traditionally unattractive

• sing too much about s3x for being an unattractive woman

• ungrateful and not a girls girl - the only evidence of this being her disappointed look when Jade when the Brit over her.

It's mostly from people who were never going to be fans anyway and needed an excuse to not like her.
