My usual inaccurate AF afternoon of the show day prediction of the final result from 1st to 26th:

01 Austria

02 Sweden

03 Albania

04 Finland

05 France

06 Netherlands

07 Estonia

08 Israel

09 Greece

10 Ukraine

11 Lithuania

12 Poland

13 Malta

14 Italy

15 Denmark

16 Switzerland

17 Norway

18 Armenia

19 Germany

20 Latvia

21 Luxembourg

22 Iceland

23 Spain

24 Portugal

25 United Kingdom

26 San Marino

Ultimately I think Austria will be all set to storm the jury vote and will do better than expected with the public giving them just enough to pip Sweden to the post.

Agree with that top 5 prediction tbh. Interesting to see how well Israhell's far-right advertising translates into televotes this year. If they get loads of 12s and 10s, it will have big effect on the winner.

Good luck for UK ladies.

This! They’ve been excellent ambassadors so hoping for them not to be at the bottom!

I can't call who will win which is very exciting. France, Finland, Sweden, Austria and Albania all seem like they could realistically walk away with the trophy tonight and I wouldn't be surprised. Very much hoping it's a televote winner though, the contest needs that.

Mixture of obvious and curveballs here, gonna guess something like:

01 France

02 Sweden

03 Finland

04 Austria

05 Switzerland

06 Albania

07 Israel

08 Netherlands

09 Estonia

10 Luxembourg

11 Malta

12 Portugal

13 Poland

14 Lithuania

15 Latvia

16 Iceland

17 Norway

18 Greece

19 Ukraine

20 Italy

21 Denmark

22 Armenia

23 Spain

24 UK

25 Germany

26 San Marino

I just have a feeling France will storm the jury, I could see 1-4 in basically any order though!!

I think San Marino is the dark horse. kant is the best sang, but ir is a VERY WEAK year. Kariija or Rin Tin Ding A Ling should have entered this year for an easy win. Top 5 will probably be a mix of Austria, San Marino, Switzerland, Sweden andddd Finland. Australia would have been top 10 if it got throuth. Kant will be in the top 16. Ukraine and Denmark should get top10.

Spain, UK and Germany will fight it out for last place. Spain should have sent its flsmenfo option :(

This AGAIN!!! God sake. They really impacted the winner lsst year and it meant Rin Tin Ding a Ling had no chance in the end.

Agreed roughly with Liam's order, and that it looks like going one of four ways.

Contenders:

  1. France - likely to storm the jury and I guess could get 200 televotes with where it is in the draw

  2. Sweden - still quite likely to win the televote, is going to to need to keep up the pace with juries with 150 at the bare minimum

  3. Finland - has been the dark horse in the way of it looked like she was coming lower half of the top ten for ages but actually pulled a winner's performance vibe out of the bag. If the jury don't undermark her then she has an outside shot

  4. Austria - Maybe a bit too divisive to win and an early draw won't help but if it's 'the chosen one' for the jury and they give it 350 then it could still win, I suspect they might look to France more than this

    Outsiders:

  5. Netherlands - could well come top five in both votes so could end up being a consensus winner

  6. Albania - likely to be the winner of Southern Europe and the Balkans who literally have nothing else local to vote for apart from Greece, would love to see this push for top five but not sure it's going to get loads of Western televote support

  7. Israel - Never count them and their supporters out, sadly

  8. Switzerland - I expect Louane will take the French ballad televotes and this (imo better song) will find itself with about 40 televotes and a very high jury score. In the mix for top five due to juries, but not the win.

  9. Estonia - terrible draw could harm its public vote a bit and juries won't love it, but it could be top three in the televote

Would be fairly surprised if any of these miss the top ten. The other top 10 spot could be any of about 5 or 6 countries honestly.

I agree with you Gooddelta. It's been Sweden vs Austria so for long and who knows, may be they will storm to victory but it really wouldn't surprise me if France gets it. I keep thinking Austria is a bit close to last year's winner and pop opera doesn't always do amazing. I suspect we will get very different top 5's with the televote and jury and the scores could be more spread out than normal. It wouldn't surprise me if neither the winner of the televote or jury go over 300 points. The jury may be quite split with France and Austria. I am pretty certain the top 5 televote will be Sweden, Finland, Israel, Estonia and the fifth going to either Ukraine or something like France/Austria. I can see Israel's jury score being more than last year but the televote being less than last year too.

My predictions:

1. Austria

2. Albania

3. Sweden

4. Switzerland

5. Finland

6. Malta

7. Italy

8. Ukraine

9. Greece

10. Israel

11. France

12. Netherlands

13. Poland

14. Lithuania

15. Estonia

16. Luxembourg

17. Portugal

18. Latvia

19. Spain

20. Armenia

21. United Kingdom

22. Denmark

23. Germany

24. Iceland

25. Norway

26. San Marino

I find France vastly overrated when there were better alternatives imo x it could well do a evidemment and come way lower than expected 🤔 i think people are underestimating albania here, with the country doing so well with the fan base this could surprise everyone! (it's also a really sophisticated song with many layers in the lyrics and music, so i think the juries will appreciate it more than we think too) unfortunately, i think the juries will rally behind austria and people will not be happy about it ☹️

Exciting that it’s not the most clear cut year! I do really like most of the contenders but France’s entry isn’t doing anything for me, so would be underwhelmed if it does swing that way.

I predict that Italy will come top 10 yet again lol

Edit: wrote that before I saw uhsting’s post, so not alone with that opinion now - but yeah, had a good feeling about it during the semi finals

Austria is all about modern Eurovision, so have huge chances to win.

Finland will get a mix of 10s-12s and zeros.

Also my traditional "speculating about next year's hosting" post is now here with the top 5 or so of the betting:

If Austria win I'd imagine Vienna is the most likely host which in an amusing coincidence means they'll be hosts of both the 60th and 70th anniversary contests. Innsbruck and Graz were also shortlisted in 2015 if they want to stay on trend with the non-capital host cities/there's a desire to go outside of Vienna.

Sweden I imagine would end up being a case of who doesn't want it the least rather than who wants it the most as Malmo definitely are not game for hosting after 2024. Realistically Stockholm is the only other realistic hosting option until Gothenburg build their new arena (Taylor Swift stay at home pls)

France will probably have a very competitive bidding process that will more or less come down to Paris vs not-Paris. Expect to see bids from Lyon, Strasbourg and Grenoble and probably many more

Finland have got Helsinki as always but I could see them seriously considering Tampere or Turku if they want to go outside the box.

Albania only realistically have Tirana as an option but their only remotely usable venue is the main football stadium that would need to have a roof built for it

Albania take my energy and win me money

I hope if we do go the way of jury bait French ballad winning that it'd be Switzerland again rather than France, 'Voyage' is miles better than 'Maman' for me. Would be happy with either Sweden or Austria winning though! (But yes, rooting for the small but not entirely nonexistent chance of an Albania win x)
