You'd think if they were that close, OCC would be putting an article up saying it is, cause close battles are exciting

But out of curiosity for everyone here, what gap do y'all think would be comfortable for each song? Like at what number would make you say "I'm calling it, Manchild has it" and what number would make you say "I'm calling it, Ordinary has it"?

Hmmm 2500 sales and above Sabrina should have it. 1000-2500 unsure but probably Sabrina if under 1000 I would favour Alex

  • We’ve just had Sombr’s “Back To Friends” reaching the Top 10 in its 13th week so I don’t think that idea would work very well. People just consume music much more slowly now. Also if you did get rid

Aside, this could well be the first First Look of the year where every song played has actually peaked in 2025

  • Yeah I’m aware but the lead is way too big without big physical sales. Ordinary is chart royalty and it would be a shame if such a throwaway song like manchild got in the way of history. I will be

Addison’s team are pushing

If she's now in with a shout of number one that's a lot of ground covered since Monday!

^they're pushing for #2, Pulp are 100% #1 guaranteed

and this is the lead? cos her post the other day kinda suggested Maneater was a leftover from Short, not a new album lead

Yeah! I’m shocked to see a new album so soon! I was convinced this was gonna be another one of her bridge singles to bridge beteeen two eras! Especially since she is still touring short n sweet 🤣😭

one really needs to strike while the iron is hot

Manchild. A maneater is something different!

But yes I'm very surprised she's announced a new album o

There's a difference between striking while the iron's hot and... erm... overkill; especially if it dilutes the music.

But I guess back in the 80s/90s, we were used to an album a year from some acts.

Which post was this? I've not seen anything that indicated it was a "leftover" from Short n' Sweet.

^from some acts, all acts you mean, some even 2 a year ;)

I don’t think she said it was a leftover from short n sweet she just said she wrote it shortly after she finished short n sweet. Since it didn’t make the deluxe version she obviously thought it was good enough for a new album

While we wait for the MW update, please continue the chat about Sabrina's album in its dedicated thread!
