We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night, House Tour and Goodbye are the clear highlights for me on first listen wub overall it's a very cohesive album and will probably go back to it a bit but I can't see anything else really taking off unless the visuals are there to inject loads of personality and make a viral moment.

I mean, if her marketing team wanted people to get talking about this album QUICKLY, then they’ve done a great job. My Twitter feed is just flooded with discourse about the album cover. The thing is

That caused uproar too didn't it , its the entitled few that just believe she should be making kids music She's 26 years old and entitled to make whatever music she likes 🤣🤣

Its not a replica, it's a reference. The photo she's referencing is a lively dance floor where Marilyn and her husband are in full embrace looking at the same thing in the distance. In Sabrina's cover

I liked this on first listen, not amazing but a solid Album! Echoing above there doesn’t sound like a distinguishable hit bar maybe tears? I like how she’s making what she wants to make though! I am envisioning this performing the way Coldplay’s last 2 did, music for the spheres is the better more popular album but moon music had the gargantuan first week sales

I'm going to be honest. I was really quite excited for this album because Taste was my most listened to song of last year, I really liked Bed Chem and Espresso a lot too. But I'm looking for the hooks on this like? The whole thing feels a little rushed out.

My cd and vinyl has came 😊. I have only listen to tears so far and it isn't what I expected. I am not a morning person so I am waiting to wake up a bit to play the rest lol.

I get why they only released one single. It’s an ok album but nothing in the same league as SNS!!

On second listen and in the sunshine rather than the middle of the night, it does seem to sound better , still nowhere near as strong as SNS think that could be her peak era for a while

Highlights for me are Tears, go go juice, Goodbye

My ranking on first listen is

1) man child

2) tears

3) house tour

4) man's will power

5) goodbye

6) don't worry I'll make you worry

7) Sugar talking

8) go go juice

9 )never getting laid

10) when did you get hot

11) we almost broke up

12) nobody's son

I do prefer short and sweet. Man's Best friend the positive is Sabrina as kept her senses of humour in her lyrics , the down side the whole album sound is very 70's , i felt like the music should have been a mixer rather then stick to the one sound.

Not blown away after my first listen. Found a few of the songs just didn’t have a strong hook like the previous album. Baffled by the second single choice as well, will radio have to bleep out most of the chorus?

Radio 1 only edit out the word "wet", the rest of the chorus remains intact.

Depends what radio your listening to i guess, coop radio bleeped out half of busy woman so id be curious with this one 🤣

I'll always feast on anything that evokes early Janet, so 'House Tour' does nibble, but everything else is various shades of vanilla — and her lyrical schtick just highlights this now

It feels a bit like if it was a b-sides album to Short n' Sweet I'd get it, or even a deluxe extra disc, but as a whole new era it's a bit limp for me. Considering she released several of the best singles of last year, the first two singles from this album are nowhere near the same league.

I like some of the album tracks more - laughing at the idea of her being inspired by Bucks Fizz but it's a completely fair comparison, whether by design or accident Nobody's Son does sound like them! Otherwise it's a very 70s-inspired affair in many places, Goodbye in particular, but maybe a little too far into pastiche territory to come across as effortlessly as her past material inspired by that era has.

Nobody's Son and House Tour are keepers for me, and I like the soundscape of Don't Worry I'll Make You Worry but the track itself will need to grow. Most of the middle section of the album is a complete miss. I'm surprised as the last album was so tight and pop perfection - my favourite of last year!

I didn't like it much on first listen but after a few more listens, I love it. Best Track: Goodbye. Worst Track: House Tour. AOTY contender for sure.

Growing and growing on me. ‘When Did You Get So Hot?’ is sooooo good.

Might not be immediate hits, but my GOD are they infectious ones!

I think ‘Tears’, ‘House Tour’ and ‘Go Go Juice’ are the hits tbh. I think they’d be solid hits too!

Edit: ‘Goodbye’ is very ABBA-coded!

I'm underwhelmed after a couple of listens. None of the tracks really stand out and the similar lyrical themes to Short n' Sweet don't help.

SNS had so many songs that could've been hit singles that the follow up was always going to struggle to compare but I was still expecting more after the excellence of her last two albums.

My cat seems to like the video for when did you get hot lol
