The new entry from T Brixon is a bot-fuelled song.

Thought it was an old track by Toni Braxton that had gone viral for a few seconds there!

Ah there was a weak weather front moving across northern England bringing cloud, didn’t realise it was that bad though, morecambe one of the wettest parts of England though!

Didn’t realize the streaming charts thread had turned into a UK weather thread 🤣

Did you not know streams are weather related 🫣

Doesn't "Let It Snow" do better when it's snowing? 😂 The weather really is the silent dictator of the charts

I know it's a bit of a tangent, but I can think of a gazillion songs about rain (or using rain as a metaphor, etc), but comparatively a lot less about other weather conditions. I don't know why that is, maybe it's a psychological thing, or maybe because so much of our pop music is from artists living in the UK.

How many weeks would 'Umbrella' have had at #1 if it hadn't been such a rainy few months in the UK in 2007?

I'd still guess at least 9 weeks, maybe the one where Kate Nash was super close would have swung, but it still would have been massive.

Back in the day, Zoe did Sunshine on a Rainy Day.

She was hedging her bets, I reckon 😂

I guess people just put on playlists in the hot weather when they're in the (beer) garden.

But I would definitely not choose to listen to Ordinary during a heatwave.

Ooh... Heatwave... That will be back this week, surely?

And TIEKS - Sunshine and Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine) by Klangkarussell!

Oh yeah heatwave be getting its revival again 🫣 and it quite literally is the middle of June 😅

You guys think our charts are bad, Heat Waves was #1 in March/April in 2021 AND 2022 in Australia. Absolutely unbelievable.

Some new peaks/re-peaks on Amazon:

#4. Ed Sheeran - "Sapphire" (likely benefitting more than most from the weather - sounds great!)

#5. Sabrina Carpenter - "Manchild" (+ 2nd version now at #47 too)

#18. MK - "Dior (feat. CHRYSTAL)

#20. Levi Heron - "The Glen"
