Equador is a collaboration between her and her husband Henry Binns and we decided to allow it as the artist representing her.It is debatable whether “Young Talent Time” is what made Dannii Minogue famous, but it seems it was a key part of her journey and so we have allowed it.The YouTube playlist:The Spotify playlist (now missing “Racing Cars” by Ruti):Let me know if you wish to change the version of your track on either of these playlists. I believe I have tried to use the links provided on the Google form as far as possible. Please vote for your favourite 10 songs in the usual Eurovision style scoring system:+12+10+08+07+06+05+04+03+02+01Please vote by sending me a private message. You have until 23:59 UK time on Wednesday 16 July to submit your votes. June 30Jun 30 Quite a few songs I know here! Others I may have heard once but can’t remember how they go. Surprised no one entered Michelle McManus.
June 30Jun 30 Thanks Julian, interesting to see all the info including year and show.A very wide spread of artists and shows, I look forward to getting stuck in.The artist I originally had confirmed is here, albeit with a different (but also excellent) song.
June 30Jun 30 Oh 'I Trance' is a great Agnes pick 🥰I didn't even think about instrumental contestants like Escala and Tokio Myers, interesting avenues there.Looking forward to checking out all the songs.
June 30Jun 30 I kind of assumed there would be a load of famous faces here from the UK shows, so it's great to see so many other countries and shows represented.Looking forward to being introduced to some of those tracks and seeing how this all pans out.
June 30Jun 30 Daithí was also perhaps more notably in Must Be The Music, the short lived show that gave us a couple of very forgettable UK top 10 hits from Pepper & Piano and Emma's Imagination (Daithí himself got a #67 hit from the show). And ofc Saara Aalto was on the UK X Factor too.I genuinely half considered sending a Jedward song here ('Luminous') but then remembered they've been sent to BJSC before xThere are a few songs I already know here (that's a nice pick for Diana Vickers there) but still more new to me than not.
June 30Jun 30 Surprised nobody else tried to enter Carly Rae Jepsen! I tried with ‘Run Away With Me’! Lmao. But I would have changed it anyway as I felt so bad for confirming it.I was toying between my current pick and Asanda - Legends! Which was the song not on streaming that I was talking about. But I wimped out of choosing that lmao. Oops.
July 1Jul 1 I don’t think that’s ever been a thing for this contest - I think we’re all just conditioned into not sending them through BJSC! 😄I remember thinking the same when I saw Madonna in the list last time and then realising I’d been unnecessarily strict with myself
July 1Jul 1 Author Girls Aloud were actually going to appear here! The sender changed their mind though after we found the song had been send to BJSC before (15 years ago when the rules were presumably more lax).
July 1Jul 1 Yes I saw Agnes last in the list and thought grrrr that’s gonna win before hearing any of the others 🤣
July 1Jul 1 Author Shall I come up with a different way to order it so Agnes is in the death slot…? 🧐
July 1Jul 1 It's a great track but imo has some strong competition, I listened through today for the first time and - as is customary with Bop Idol - was impressed with the high quality mostly across the board. So hopefully it's not a big walkover for Agnes, even if I would expect her to win nevertheless (I can't argue with the quality of the song). Edited July 1Jul 1 by gooddelta
July 1Jul 1 I Trance is phenomenal though.I do hope if she’s allowed in a contest again someone can send ‘One Last Time’! What an absolute BEAUT that one is
July 2Jul 2 Just looking at the list of acts, I can imagine Dannii and Diana giving Agnes a run for her money!(Before I’ve heard any of them)
