Great to see such a clear winner! It was in and out of my top 15 from my listens

Congrats :)

Haha well done Dandy, and I completely see why the results were presented like this considering the foregone conclusion. 148 points margin!!

Amazing hosting and results show, thanks so much Phil.

I really am so pleased with 13th, and that our odds were nearly spot on (and got the correct winner ha).

As an aside - this is now the fourth winner in a row that has recently finished in the top five with another song, so I know where I'm looking for my next entry 😆

💀

Will have to do a stats check on if that's threatening any records (probably not until tomorrow as I've not even started updating my spreadsheet, so also issuing a health warning for if any points tallies change tomorrow although I do trust Phil's accountancy skills x) - I guess that cannot be argued with haha, well done dandy*! And thanks for finishing me off on a high with only my second double figure score, I think I've counted 20 votes received which is more than any of my other entries in the last year bar Chikoi The Maid so really just racking up the low points!

Thanks for the hosting Phil and sorry I wasn't here for more of it, will comment more on the results when I've fully caught up ~

And echoing at tally votes for Fljotavik…and achieving that in much smaller contest makes it even more so impressive clap

An absolutely STORMING victory.

I think the margain of the win should go some way to explain why I thought this might be a good contest to test out an alternative vote reveal on, FLJ took the reins early and just galloped away. So we decided to flip the script on the reveal to keep the interest going and try to somewhat conceal the margain of victory by not including a scoreboard along the way

Thanks to all of you who joined us in Morpeth Cove this month, it was a pleasure to have all 47 of you with us. We hope you have enjoyed BJSC 176, enjoyed a slightly different final reveal, and also a big massive thank you to all who enjoyed our hosts entry this month! Bit different from Rd'Á this month and nice to see us in some different countries votes as well.

Thanks and Goodnight!

This has been a SNÁ|1 production

Wow, that is a huge score for any final, let alone with less than 50 participants o congratulations Dandy! cheer

I wasn't tracking the scores too closely but it looked like Fljótavík was pulling away around halfway, and then Ajanaeda started to trail off. I'm a bit gutted for Josh to finish outside the medals after so many top 3 predictions - as I mentioned I very nearly sent 'Moviestar' as my entry, and will continue to rue whether that has cost me a full year's Q streak (amongst other things), but top 5 is great all the same.

Thanks Phil for hosting.

Thanks for hosting!

I think I prefer the classic way of presenting the results but in hindsight I can see why it was done differently this time!

Wow that's an insane points gap !! Congrats Dandy on an extremely decisive win <3 I gave 'Infohazard' 11 points and would class it as my favourite winner of the year so far now. Thank you for those 12 points in return 🤩 no 18s this time but still 7 sets of double-figure points, good stuff.

Elsewhere in the top 10 I also voted for Kathaldazia (5), Bøtanikkä (2), Neliönoir (3), République d'Áskorza (6) and Land of DW (12), plus my whole top 3 were also in the top 15, so overall I approve of BuzzJack's choices this time.

Thank you Phil for the exciting new concept and all the work you put into hosting this edition in general!

Holy christ what a points total! Congratulations Dandy*, great winner!

Very pleased to see Kath and blacksquare in the mix for top 5, really enjoyed their entries this month too.

Thanks for the hosting this month Phil, really well presented and I enjoyed seeing this alternative style of reveal.

It’s very rare that the final results line up with my opinions so much, so I’m really happy with that. Top five finish for us too!! Yay!! I’m glad so many liked the ABBA-esque sound of ‘Moviestar’.

Huuuuge points total for ‘Infohazard’!!! I know there were talks of a few contenders but that’s a one horse race like no other.

Thanks for hosting Silas. I enjoyed the unique way of revealing results. Everyone brought their A-game to this contest which made it a great one to be part of and us doing well is the cherry on top.

2nd bratcheeseblock

I'm doneeee

Lost track of all the 18s - thank-you everyone <3 I think it's the most we've ever got & first silver medal finish since 2009 🥹 Fabulous winner - congrats dandy*

Special thanks to blacksquare for cheerleading 'deal' throughout 🖤

Well that's a decisive win for sure! Congrats dandy*, while I was getting a little tired of the 'winner with a previous top 10' trend we seem to be stuck on this year, I can't deny this was a fab entry that I couldn't have snubbed. Ajanaeda and R'dA were in my commiserations so I very nearly voted for that whole top 8! Great stuff, was the best entry for Kathaldazia for a while so wonderful to see it as high as 2nd, wasn't sure if the SyncTube hype would translate.

Thanks for hosting, Silas, was great to follow a different kind of results presentation!

DEAD 😵

Not gonna lie, I very nearly didn’t even enter this contest because I’d not done so for a couple and had a feeling that I’d fallen out of love with it a little… but I decided to persevere and I’m now so glad I did - not just because Ninajarichi won for us, but because I genuinely loved all of the songs in my votes - I added so many to my playlist this contest, it feels like it was meant to be and the contest and I just really clicked if that makes sense?

Particularly happy to see Kath in second there, a win and my 18 in second spot is as good as it can get <3

(Oh and how rude of me, forgot to say a huge thank you to Phil for hosting… you did a great job 👏)

...actually I'll spare the wait because unless something went wildly wrong with the points totals for the top 2 that is not only beating but demolishing the all time record win margin!

The 148 point margin beats the old record by 15 points (Salt Ashes' 'Save It' won by 133 in BJSC 84), and even more remarkably in percentage terms it's a margin of 63.79% compared to the old record being Eva Simons' 'Silly Boy' all the way back in BJSC 19 which won by a comparatively minuscule 48.89%...! Kath being on the opposite end of the drubbing this time haha.

Yeah I don’t think it’ll ever replace the usual way of doing things, and nor should it, but you never know what might work out unless you try it. After 176 contests it’s good to still be trying out new things I think and I hope future hosts are encouraged to take a few risks and put their own spin on the proceedings

I’m happy the concept and vision I had in my head translated into a workable results show at the end of the day.

This contest was a lot of fun! Maybe the lack of stressing over getting through the semis was what did it. Thanks for hosting, Silas! Congrats dandy!!!
