Everyone I know this loving this, even if they’re not Lily fans.

The honestly storytelling and the authenticity is what we have all been missing from the big popstars of today, and this is brimming with it.

She deserves this big moment.

The more I listen and digest this project, the more its brilliance reveals itself — even down to the title. David clearly had an issue with her working in his field on the West End. The album itself u

  • I've absolutely loved reading everyone's thoughts; it's so nice to see us all connect through shared feelings of this unexpected, special album. I knew what the main subject of the album was going in

I can’t stop coming back to this. It’s incredible. Might be one of the best albums I’ve ever heard.

Certainly wasn’t expecting Lily Allen to do that in 2025!

I think Lily has surprised a few people this time around whereas her last few albums pretty much went unnoticed.

Hopefully this paves the way for a proper commercial album next year full of bangers!

The way Lily released an album some artists spend an entire career trying to make. She hooks you in the storytelling, but the songs themselves are largely infectiously catchy pop songs that also stand on their own, too. It’s just such a perfect package (Side note, fantastic artwork too).

Really love seeing how this has already pretty outdone the last two albums in terms of commercial success. The entire album in the top 150 on Apple and Spotify after two days is INSANE.

I hope Pussy Palace is a smash, I can also imagine 4Chan Stan sounding delicious on the radio as a second single.

Obsessed with the album, I can only echo everything that's already been said in here and the online discourse, hopefully it will be to this year what Brat was to 2024 in terms of cultural impact, it deserves that. Hopefully some songs will take off more individually as word of mouth of its quality continues to spread.

One of the very few albums this year that I've kept going back to for more complete listens, a late but major contender for album of the year. Lyrically and musically brilliant, I've missed her and this is an instant classic.

I can’t stop playing this. Dramatic but could see this being one of my most played albums of all time.

I see there’s a vinyl and cd out 30th January 2025, hope she adds more variants though as it’s only plain black one, but I need it physically !

I'm not usually a picture disc person but caved in to this pressing from Rough Trade as the polka dot print matches up well with the cover:

Did you see she also had polka dot butt plug merch at the album launch party?

Finally getting around to listening to this again and as I suspected, it's better now that I'm able to actually listen to it and take it all in. I'm not a fan of 'West End Girl', it's pretty boring, but everything else is definitely hitting way more.

I know why 'Relapse' was an instant fave for me... it's 'I Could Say' mature big sister. I find them really in line with each other, at least sonically! Stunning. 'Ruminating' is an odd one for me because I love it as a song, but I think the vocal effects are a bit *too* much for me personally. But as a song it's great! I think I'm just going to need to get used to it more. 'Pussy Palace' is a career best for me. Just truly outstanding. Really in line with 'No Shame'!

Here for the incredible, surprising success of this. I do love when artists get some sort of big career revival with new material, years after their (original) commercial peaks!

So far for me:

Amazing:

01 It's Not Me, It's You

02 No Shame

Great:

03 West End Girl >> Room to grow ofc <<

Good:

04 Alright, Still >> OOPS! I'M SORRY! <<

Meh:

05 Sheezus

Looks like this is truly her rebirth! 🤯

I have to admit, I'm not generally a fan of hers but this is damn good! I like how it isn't chasing big pop moments or hits, but tells a really quite brutal story lyrically.

I'd say there's a few big pop moments on the album! Pussy Palace low key goes offff.

Relapse and Sleepwalking are my faves !!

What an album!

No physicals as the label was worried they would get shelved cos of the content!

This album feels like such a big pop culture moment. I hope Lily is really happy with the response after the last two albums' responses were kind of muted comparatively.

Was not on my bingo card to be obsessed with a Lily album in 2025 and have it on repeat - what a comeback.

Don't think I've commented yet since this dropped but... OMFG!!! I don't think I've been this invested in Lily music since INMIY. Pussy Palace, Ruminating, Madeline, Tennis... probably missing others but so many highlights after just two listens! The non-nonsense, brutal honesty is definitely what makes this album though. So happy she's having a chart revival after all this time! When she's good, she's fab!
