Variant wins again. Least unlike Golden + Taylor, Raye has held her position with one single version

Don't hate the player hate the game 🤭 Raye knows how the business works if she wants to release remixes she can 🤣

  • That probably contributed to 3 sales and the newly released liquid vinyl for the rest. Surely the OCC should/would know of a new variant counting towards the charts 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'd guarantee Golden and The Fate of Ophelia would be ahead of WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! with only one version anyway.

  • It makes me wonder if OCC aren't keen on explaining that a climb in the chart is simply because of a new variant, and thus they want to dress it up with "topical news" to make it seem more interesting

Ah boo at Taylor overtaking Golden. Guessing she has the double this week

I'd rather an artist who can put out one single version and still do well then those who make multiple versions every single time they're overtaken by someone else

Pointless having the same argument all the time loads of artists have remixes and acoustic version , Alex Warren even did during his reign if terror but suprises suprise Taylor does it successfully and its a bad thing 🤭

Golden has about 20 versions btw

'Rein Me In' coming for a 6th run in the Top 10 in the same Top 20 run, equalling the 'Bad Dreams' record?

Assume it’ll be the song to have done this the most in one chart run?

Raye's reeallly far behind both of them, even remixes wouldn't make a dent. The only hope she has of a higher position is if one of them goes to ACR before her (which seems unlikely)

Honestly would love raye to have her turn as well but yeah we have to be realistic 🙌

No sign of any Christmas songs for probably a couple more weeks, however over on the Commercial Radio Big Top 40 they have a Christmas new entry at number 4:

Angel On The Tree by Sam Clegg.

What was the last song to climb into the top 10 from outside the top 40 for its first week inside the top 40?

9 Sam Fender & Olivia Dean - Rein Me In

Without taking the time to double check, I think the very next song after you posted this might have answered your question magic ('Rein Me In' started 86-6 - I forget if it was charting solely on consumption of the solo version for its first week or if the Olivia version was a late midweek release).

Great to see WHERE IS MY HUSBAND! still top 3.

Would love to see it top 2 but I know that's unlikely given the TFOA and Golden dominance and the pending Christmas takeover.

If Golden gets three more weeks at number 1, it will equal Ordinary with the total amount of weeks at number 1

I dont think that's possible but love to end the year on Golden over Ordinary at most weeks

Ordinary has 13 total weeks. Golden has 10 total weeks. I’ll be surprised if Golden doesn’t make the top 10 EOY chart

It already is top 10 for the year likely to end top 5 maybe even top 3

Think Hayley Williams could do very well physically though

Pretty sure the husband said he got an email saying his order from her store was delayed due to production delays (maybe something else). That might impact her sales this week...

I picked up a vinyl at a listening party on Thursday though, not sure if that sale will count towards last week's chart or this week's though...

3 RAYE - WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!

Hope this avoids ACR throughout the Christmas season long enough to pull an Escapism. - the first number one of the new year.

Just when no-one big was releasing, could a former number 1 album's deluxe grab another one on the 21st? I don't recall deluxes doing super well but with it being November and having Tit for Tat on it, a chance?
