Looks like "I Run" HAS been disqualified. Have any other songs been disqualified from the charts before, or is this the first song ever to be disqualified?

Think there was another AI song called One Time last year that was in the top 75 on a Monday then not in the final chart, can't think of any others

  • I'm sorry even the suggestion of comparing Skye Newman to Lauryn Hill is hilarious to me lmao

  • Think its safe to say Haven has been disqualified. If it's actually AI hooray, an actual good move from the OCC!

  • The first ever UK chart was dated the 14th November 1952 so Happy 73rd Birthday to the UK Singles Chart !!

Industry by The Modern did in 2006 because of suspicious sales patterns.

Haven completely out of the top 100. Teddy Swims beats the Weeknd's record for longest consecutive top 100 run!

Many instances over the years especially in the physical dominant era

New peaks and new entries outside the top 40:

#45 Sienna Spiro - MAYBE. (+34)

#49 David Guetta, Teddy Swims & Tones And I - Gone Gone Gone (+9)

#53 ROSALÍA ft. Yahritza Y Su Escenia - La Perla (NEW)

#54 Sienna Spiro - You Stole The Show (+29)

#56 ROSALÍA - Reliquia (NEW)

#57 Role Model - Sally, When The Wine Runs Out (+27)

#61 Katy Perry - bandaids (NEW)

#72 Dave ft. Jim Legxacy - No Weapons (NEW)

#75 Florence + The Machine - Buckle (NEW)

#87 Hazbin Hotel Cast - Don't You Forget (Reprise) (NEW)

#88 Yeat - Come N Go (+3)

#99 Annabelle Dinda - The Hand (NEW)

Christmas songs:

#50 Wham! - Last Christmas (+46)

#51 Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You (+31)

The whole thing about The Fate of Ophelia gives me a feeling - a la Todd in the Shadows - of confusion.. "I love you... Let's f--k all night... The fate of Ophelia?!?!"

Some people are saying that "I Run" is AI, but apparently it's not. I'm guessing it got disqualified for suspicious streaming activities, or something else.

Definitely not the first ever. Going back in time a bit, I remember a track called 'Industry' by The Modern in 2006 was due to enter the top 15 and got disqualified due to suspicious bulk purchasing of the single or something (which I was sad about as I loved that song)

I think it's happened quite a few times both in the CD and digital era.

The new dod/ sonny track is fine… nothing special but better than his last two winter hits asking or somedays

Or summer hits if you’re an Aussie like him!

There is a statement from the OCC in the sales report when Joseph posts it.

There was also a 'JLS' credited track in the top 75 update a few years ago that was confirmed that wasn't by the band, I don't know if that was allowed to chart.

It did chart, credited to the actual artists in the end. And higher than JLS’ actual comeback song later that year!

I remember that lead me to think the actual single from them might do really well, but alas no lol

I think it happened to Kim Wilde once, but I can’t remember which track.

To be fair, she's only an amateur songwriter what with the overdramatic over singing and repetitive cursing.. heck, she's only in her early 20s.

George Michael wrote ‘Careless Whisper’ when he was just 17!

In the download era there were a lot of cover versions of songs released before the originals which were held back.

Some were allowed to chart (a few even made top 40 but most were way lower down), some charted in the mid-weeks but didn't make the final top 200 (even though they clearly had the sales to), and some weren't ever allowed to chart at all (even though, again, they definitely had the sales to).

'The Fate Of Ophelia' is my birthday #1 this year then. Well... it is by far the best song on this mediocre album at least! And a massive improvement on Gracie Abrams being my birthday #1 last year :')

Tuned in for most of the show again and was my first time hearing 4 of the songs, the Sonny Fodera and Digga D songs both sounded quite good by their usual standards (not a high bar, mind, but I was quite enjoying both of them), I'm a little surprised to see this is the first time Poppy Baskcomb has charted as I'm sure she's quite a prolific dance vocalist! The Fred again.. one was another tune from him and 'A Couple Minutes' was sounding quite nice if not a new Olivia fave for me - was a little amusing that they played EsDeeKid followed by a trio of pretty middle of the road soul-pop-ish songs from Skye, Olivia and SIENNA lol mind, 'Die On This Hill' has been gradually growing on me one the last few weeks and I think I have to admit I actually really like it now. I tuned out after #9 and assumed that I just missed HAVEN., what a mess that actually ended up being disqualified entirely oops! Means 'Berghain' got to be one place higher though so not complaining teresa

Lots of good tunes getting new peaks this week actually, 'Die On This Hill' as mentioned above but I also like 'So Easy (To Fall In Love)', both of the EsDeeKid songs and 'Folded'. Not so much at 'FU & UF' though, has to be the most painful vocals from Skye to date (and I take back saying the other week that SIENNA SPIRO sounds exactly like her, still think their voices are similar but hearing their current hits nearly back to back really highlighted how much more competent SIENNA is, the thought of Skye trying to sing 'Die On This Hill' is making me wince x).

Good to see 'No Weapons' charting this week lower down as well and wow at Florence + The Machine maybe looking at getting a decent post-album hit! Plus ROSALÍA grabbing two more top 60 hits including her first solo chart appearance *.* (I am being very lazy with album listening again and am still yet to hear either 'Everybody Scream' or 'LUX' oop but will get on them ASAP xx)
