So yes, Bowie was I, the old man, Katie Waissel, Twink master and the one that most of you were dreading to hear every round ;D This does feel the right time for me to go - Quite frankly, I'm not sure

If anyone has any complaints later this evening when they see the scoreboard, @RobBot is to blame. Thank you for your time.

I'll guess Rob's vote put Bowie in the bottom 3

Brer sending Girlicious both of the 'Barefoot In The Park' artists to Pop Factor so far *.* out of interest, did you have any songs in mind for future rounds?

You introduced a lot of the forum to ROSALÍA in the first place, with BJSC DNQ 'Catalina' back in the day, so feels right for you to be her mentor here too. Well done for getting her this far - those 2nd places were especially impressive and of course the epic 'Berghain' comeback!

Already commented on Chappell but well done Lindsey too, totally makes sense you were behind her.

Chappell and ROSALÍA going out together in the end after they faced each other in the battle round!

Here for it.

Gah, that is awful to see Rosalía out with the wonderful Saoko, I did all I could! That was a tough one to choose though so a deadlock result is relieving, even though it is funny we keep getting them.

But very strong round so would have been tough whoever went, I think Chappell's done amazing in this competition given how little material she has compared to the rest of the field and Rosalía had an incredible run of surviving what felt like many of the rounds, good game from both mentors.

Rosalia's been an artist that I really should've got more into for a while now, so I've finally gotten around to listening to her studio albums (barring Los Angeles, admittedly was sticking to the breakthrough ones but I'm open to checking that one out), El Mal Querer and LUX really struck me with their great performance and diverse influences mixed with great conceptual storytelling and MOTOMAMI had some excellent experimentation and diversity present, LUX in particular has an utterly beautiful first half and the array of languages she studied as well as the verges into opera were fantastic, BERGHAIN would've made my top 10 of last year had I heard it then. Such an exciting talent, I'm sorry I was late to the stan train for her recent era but I'll be on board for the next one x Anyway, I knew she was either Jade or Bre here, and it's been great getting acquainted with her stuff here in tandem with my own listening, I wasn't certain she'd make the live shows after being knocked out to Chappell (just realising these two were in the same duel and are knocked out together!) so wonderful that Berghan's timely performance allowed it!

I'm glad Chappell got a chance to show her two best songs with The Subway and Good Luck Babe, and most of the choices have been pretty good, I'm surprised she was out this round, I guess it was the strength of the pack, I didn't mind this one though, had an interesting structure.

I tried not to comment too much on Chappell as I knew I'd give myself away 😅

I had a feeling after last round this might have been the end of the road, I wanted to cling on for one more week though, make top ten and hopefully send My Kink Is Karma as it's my fave album track of hers. I didn't want to play all the best ones too soon though hence Femininomenon. I didn't really have a plan at first as I didn't know exactly how it worked as I didn't do it last time so I do wish I'd maybe kept GLB a bit longer but I did have a list of songs I wanted to go for. As much as she only has one album, she has another EP and Pink Pony Club, The Giver and The Subway are all stand alones so I didn't feel stuck for choice.

I was keeping Pink Pony Club for as long as possible. Hot To Go and The Giver I wasn't sure on as they're both quite divisive/gimmicky. For flops week I was going to send something from her first EP, either Love Me Anyway or Meantime - both stunning and really show off her vocals so if you prefer her ballads then I'd definitely check them out. As I say I would have done MKIK next then Naked In Manhattan. I actually looked back at the album rate that was ran here to try and guage how each song might be received but it was clearly a v different audience 😂

Anyway, this was really fun and it's the most I've enjoyed an event on here in years so I'm buzzing for the next one. I'll still be following this of course and will still vote, hoping the girls can still steal it 💜

And I’d do it again! Glad I gave Rosalia a fighting chance and now Lee is to blame instead xx

I do love Chappell though and didn’t expect that to be the automatic elimination at alllll.

That is the most important thing we all take away from this result…

@Lee_J11 is definitely to blame!

CONFIRM YOUR SONG CHOICE FOR LIVE SHOW FOUR HERE!

Your song must be a single.

It must NOT have charted in the top 40 in the UK or the US, or your artist's home country if different. Unleash the flops!

You have until 17:59 TOMORROW to confirm your song choice!

For now, let's celebrate Lindsey and Bror's time in the competition clap

I'm not sure I'll get through the next round but I'm confident in saying that you are all objectively wrong if I don't x

As I said xo

'SAOKO' is my favourite song from ROSALÍA so I didn't want to go out before having a chance to send it, I figured at this point she was probably going to struggle to get through no matter what I sent, I'm glad I at least didn't come last (so placing in the top 10 overall yay!) and was nice to have hope momentarily extended by the judge vote going to deadlock again, although let it never be forgotten that the only reason Bowie has survived is because Mr. "get the old man out" explicitly chose not to kick out the old man when he had the opportunity to kink

At the end of the day my one gambit for this whole thing was that I was going to send 'Berghain' to the Golden Wagner round (that was my plan even before the BRITs) as I figured it might have enough strong niche appeal to put me in the live shows regardless of how my earlier picks went (although I'm assuming Lily got the most points in that round so I just got through because of the rule change hehe) - amazed that I was so close to not even needing to do that but you had to put me against 'The Subway' in the duels round -_- (hehe at me getting the last laugh over Chappell finishing just ahead of her here though x)

I did genuinely think 'MALAMENTE' might have done a bit better than it did in its round, but then was no surprise that 'DIABLO' did quite poorly as well, that was me being a bit brazen going with a leftfield deep cut / easter egg James Blake cameo as I figured I had still done enough to be safe already (and then of course turns out it didn't matter at all what I sent to the first two rounds anyway due to Branchgate x), had to step it up from that point onward and it was a lovely surprise to go as high as 2nd with two LUX album tracks! In fact, a somewhat underwhelming showing for 'Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti' aside going with LUX songs was pretty much the smart play for the whole thing, go figure.

Hope that a decent number of you made some good discoveries anyway. And maybe I should finally reply to Wardy's PM now.

Ngl I did really kind of want to get to the flop round if that is actually a real thing still coming (edit: ooh here it is x) - if I was still there at that point I might have decided to flame out by finally sending a song from her debut album which I otherwise decided to ignore partly because I am respecting the 'pop' aspect of this game and that album is not pop at all and partly because there's nothing on there that would have been even remotely competitive at this stage of the game. Although if anyone would like to revisit this song which was ROSALÍA's introduction to the forum (iirc) when I sent it to BJSC over 8 years ago and DNQed...

(alternatively I could have sent the maybe moderately less doomed 'A Palé' which is her lowest charting single (excluding post-album singles) in her native Spain since her breakthrough (edit: or not as it would have been ineligible for still getting #16 in Spain oop!))

I also came veeeery close to sending this instead of 'Mio Cristo Piange Diamanti' for the ballads round but thought it'd be a bit too risky - hearing this song live was a highlight of life though (and same with 'SAKURA' which would also have been a good option).

Also a shoutout to 'QUE NO SALGA LA LUNA (Cap.2: Boda)', 'Dolerme', 'TKN', 'HENTAI', 'BIZCOCHITO', 'DELIRIO DE GRANDEZA', 'Vampiros' and 'La Yugular' all of which I had considered to varying degrees of viability sending at various stages throughout. And 'Con Altura' which I was holding onto for the very unlikely possibility of making a deeper run towards the final (that's maaaybe the only song that could have actually got through this round? unless I am just seriously overestimating how competitive 'SAOKO' should have been in theory x). What a discography, I pity the xenophobes x
