THE SOLO FEMALE EARTH AUDITIONS

Before Pop Fleet 26 can take off in the spacecraft to search the stars for Lady BuzzJack, we have been informed there are weight restrictions on board, and unfortunately each spacecraft - beyond personnel - can only hold a maximum of 12 additional people. As a result, our artists must sing for their lives in an attempt to board else they'll be left behind on Earth. It's time to welcome all of the solo female artists to the stage as they audition for you, the voting BuzzJack public!

How it works:

Once you have listened to all of the artists perform you should post a ranking of each of the performances. You can rank them from best to worst (making clear which is your favourite down to least favourite), or use the template below:

For those voting who have entered one of the artists into the competition, you should rank all thirteen performances in your own category (however it's encouraged that you vote for your soon-to-be competitors too), and when totalling up scores your entry will be removed from the list to retain anonymity in the competition.

As always, even if you are not competing in The Pop Factor you can vote too!

When voting closes, the twelve female soloists with the highest scores will proceed to the next round while ONE of the females will be eliminated from the competition and will not be going through.

Michelle Branch was my biggest discovery in this round! Ranked it immediately higher than some songs I’ve been familiar with for years!!!!

I feel like the one person on Earth who doesn’t really get Rosalia (aside from a few songs) so that seems to have continued here. I bet she goes far though!

I think Kelly is a strong competitor for the win if we stick with 14 songs from the first few eras. If there’s an album track round then Twigs could storm that too. So many 10/10 choices.

I have no idea how I'm going to order this 😩 I'll probably submit my votes for this last as I'm gonna need to sit on them (ie play them all on loop to see which ones I'm sick of first) 😅

It was difficult to choose between that top 2, as 'Good Luck, Babe!' is Chappell's best song for me and an ultimate 2024 favourite, while 'MALAMENTE' is a highlight of 2018 and always gets strong points from me in Record of the Decade. Both very high quality starts 🥰 the choice to send 'Good Luck, Babe!' reminds me of 'Genie in a Bottle' beginning Christina's arc last year, my favourite by her and a big hitter that would've been a worthy final choice too.

'Hot Like Wow' and 'QUEEN' were good discoveries! 🕺

I've never been a fan of 'Praying' sadly but do enjoy plenty of Kesha songs so I'm sure the only way is up in my votes going forward.

Can't believe Kesha's doing so badly! Although granted it's not one of her pop classics.

Don't worry, there's at least two of us who don't get the Rosalia hype!

I'm not exactly a fan of ROSALÍA (her voice kinda grates on me which is such a shame) as I said in her LUX album thread, but I did rather enjoy that album and been meaning to revisit it very soon.

Praying is a stunning song, idk if I'd have put it for this round but it's still definitely one that deserves more love!

Predictable but Innocent Eyes is the song that turned me from a Delta fan to lifelong supporter. Good Luck, Babe! is one of the best songs of this decade, and any single from Breakaway is a winner.
