  • I genuinely heard some people talking about him and this song in the pub today 😮

Rosalia was the best of the night hands down

  • Oh yes, would love Gorillaz to make #1, the album was giving me strong Plastic Beach vibes. Bruno to disown 'Gorilla' from his catalogue if they pip him to the post

Leigh-Anne 3-out sadly. So only Jade from LM has managed multiple weeks in top 100 with her album, back for a 9th week

Disappointing but not surprised. This is how for non chart followers it’s deceiving how on paper you’d think the LM solo albums did better than Spice Girls debuts because of the #3 peaks (particularly Mel Cs for example).

Happy for JADE being back though ❣️

Was kinda hoping Twenty One Pilots might do enough for a second week Top 40, but they're already down to #42.

Drag Path has reclimbed on Spotify so maybe it will U-turn as the week goes on 🤞

Tbf if they Spices were around nowadays and only just releasing theirs it would likely be a similar trajectory

Great to see Gorillaz at no1 and Mitski at 3, both albums I got this week! Poor sales for Bruno tho!

I’m not a fan of Alex but fever dream isn’t too bad, and would like to see the number 1 turn over continue. But I imagine rein me in will take it again this week

Gorillaz safe for #1 then, hopefully - well deserved.

I doubt non-chart followers could tell you or would care where solo Spice or LM albums charted.

I'd rather see Bella Kay continue her climb. She has frustratingly stalled.

I hope Baby Steps can overtake The Hardest Part and star it out. I don’t want Baby Steps being starred out by a song of hers from her 2020 EP

Omg I completely forgot about her, yes that’s a much better option than Alex warren. Hope she can get another boost to take the njmsbr1

Looks like King Warren will have to settle for a #2 debut then :/ Still not too shabby I guess.

When I first heard the RAYE song on Friday I thought it would be a dead cert for the top 10, so it's pretty shocking to see it so far down, even lower than 'Where Is My Husband!'

10k is a piss poor showing for Bruno at this stage, thought he'd easily be on double that. A clear sign that he really needs to switch up his sound.

Rein Me In physicals have started shipping and the Nightingale Lane. ones are starting to arrive tomorrow (mine included)

^^ Yes, just got my notification for the Sam/Olivia vinyl so should be included in tomorrows updates

Interested to see how many they made/were sold as it was a UK only release and sold out in a few days.

Yeah I don’t think people realise how much time has passed for Little Mix to just be launching their solo careers now. At some point with most artists it’s just the passage of time and folks lose interest. It’s been 15 years since they won X Factor and 5 years since their last active year as a group.

The equivalent for the Spice Girls would be if they released their debut albums between October 2011 and February 2012.

10k for Bruno is crazy low!!

Bruno's last solo album opened with 52,334 in Nov 2016. The Silk Sonic album opened with 12,484 in Nov 2021. Should beat the latter but quite a bit below the former.

The album is only 9 tracks which doesn't help in this streaming-dominated world. I don't see a huge amount of variants either and they're all priced full price/no sales etc. The album is quite good so I hope it has legs and sticks around a bit!
