Congrats Rollo, great entry!

I'm very happy with 13th, I thought 'Was im Club passiert' is a bit doomed following 'Collapse/Collide', but I'm glad that it still found its fans.

Thanks for the smooth hosting NocheLuna, was definitely a cool spinoff idea!

  • Well, I never thought picking the number 17 would lead to me winning a BJSC spin-off! This is Rolloland's first ever win. 😀 Thanks to Leww for coming up with the idea for the theme and pushing me pas

Congrats Rollo! Actually quite surprised a song like that won, but it's deserved, beautifully atmospheric and an excellent build-up, and Pestolia 2nd with a Mario instrumental definitely highlights the wonderful diversity of the spin-off *.

Very pleased with 7th, thanks all for voting, it was one of my favourite albums I belatedly checked out from the year before last and this trip hop and gospel combination was a real highlight.

I voted for all of the top 5, and most of the top 10 were good too, pleased to see Eledan top 5 as I did always wonder how that would do. A shame my personal top 2 of Dobago and Jadakissnia couldn't quite make it in, but all of my top votes were great discoveries.

Thanks for bringing this idea to life, Noche, one of the most unique listenthroughs we've had in a while

Oh I just realised the winning song was under one of my theme ideas, yay! ('song from the end of a decade, a year ending in 9')

Congrats again King Rollo, that was such a stunning song. Thank you for the discovery ❤️

Very happy with 9th for AURORA - thanks all for the points!

well done rollo that is an amazing winner!!! GAGGING at ansel coming so close with a nostalgic novelty entry!

thanks to rollo for 18 and nine for 15 yauurrrrr and all the remaining points. great to come 18th but y’all TASTELESS for underrating this malaysian gem smh x

Congratulations Rollo, that's a lovely winner - and great to see Coconut Mall running up. Thanks for taking on the concept Noche, that was a very unique contest to listen through.

I didn't expect all too much but I was happy to be along for the ride here, thank you to all who pointed my bop.

My turn to congratulate the wonderful Rolloland! Over the years it's been a joy to award high scores to one of my favourite nations purely due to the utterly incredible song discoveries I've made from @King Rollo including music from Blank Mass, CLANN, Yeah But No, Steven Wilson, Weather Systems, Electric Youth and much more! There's a reason why I miss seeing Rolloland in the competition regularly because of these and other gifts.

I'm truly very happy to see you get your first victory, and thank you for another song to save from the Rolloland collection.

Zanmatony did quite well and thanks to Summericia and Botannikka for golds.

Also a big shoutout to Ennea for a great personal result too with a banging song!

Oop sorry playing catchup with the results again - I did have a feeling I could potentially do quite well this time as the song really grabbed me instantly when I found it (so was glad I came across it quite quickly as it may have been a bit tough to find other candidates for this particular theme hehe), didn't quite top anyone's ranking but was fun to quickly read through and see lots of double figure points *.* soo... thank you to @Iz様 🌟 and @matto for the silver medals (glad to have not let the former down with an anime song pick x), @AllStarBySmashMouth, @Colm, @danG, @NocheLuna and @seven. for bronzes, @CowTzy, @FrankLuck, @pavi and @Chez Wombat for further double figure points and @Jade, @King Rollo, @Klumzee, @Ansel, @awardinary, @Addy!, @Roba., @Silas (:o) and @WhoOdyssey for the rest of my points! In all my years of entering spinoffs I have still never made the podium in one aside from a 2nd place finish in BJFestivalen which is kind of its own thing, this is just another addition to a fairly long list of 4th/5th place finishers, not the worst problem to have tbf x

Cannot argue with any of the songs that did make the podium here as I gave double figure points to all three - well done Rollo on finally winning a contest in this forum, definitely a major standout, I also gave high points to 'Bullets' and voted for the sadly DNQing 'We Are The Same' in its semi-final as well so this nicely makes up for those songs not getting the results they deserved! (I thought I did recall you sent another one of their songs to another contest too and indeed just checked and you sent 'Lights' to Unknown Pleasures, which I also voted for and which came 10th so a little better than they did in BJSC but still not as good as this result ofc). 'Coconut Mall' coming 2nd and very close to the win is very much iconic - I take offence to the suggestion that it was a novelty entry, it's a jovial classic xx Follows me coming top 10 in the Japan vs. South Korea spinoff with another bit of music from the Mario franchise ('Gusty Garden Galaxy' from Super Mario Galaxy) so it's a formula that works clearly! And the Summericia entry was an excellent bit of me bait plucked from whatever obscure archives you were plundering (another song I will need to get a local file for to get on my Spotify playlists).

Also great to see a top 10 finish here for Ennea after the slow start to their results in the main contest and a couple of tracks I already knew and approved of from Terra Avium and Lotunia making it in too. Sooo close for my 18 from Dobago - I actually only had it as my 13 pointer after my first listen but bumped it all the way up to the top as it slapped even harder second time around, that not quite being enough for it to sneak a top 10 but I did all I could. Thanks @Dobbo for reminding me of Nihiloxica's existence anyway, although I see the song is from 2023 and they've not released anything else since that album, hopefully soon! Hooray for solid top half results for other big faves from Jadakissnia and Trifoski too and decent midtable showings for Zephyra Continuum and Deandria (plus the other iconic pick from Hushkanukia). Danæviia the most robbed here although not exactly surprising, they got a difficult theme draw as any song under 90 seconds has a tough job making enough of an impression to pick up big points and obviously it being a rap song doesn't help with general BuzzJack appeal lol but it did the job for me, banger!

Thanks Noche for the hosting, definitely down for doing another one of these at some point!

Rolloland would also like to thank the two people who put that unofficial video onto youtube. I don't think I've seen scenes from a film being used so effectively to illustrate a song that has nothing to do with the film. John Hurt, Richard Burton and Gregor Fisher were the actors I recognised in it. I did think of linking to the lyric video instead as I thought the 1984 video might distract from the music but it looks like I made the right decision. I think many of you just listen to the Spotify playlist so maybe a video doesn't make much difference.

Since this is still BJSC, I’ll count that forever elusive 4th place in my overall stats x

Oh wow I didn’t expect top 5! Thank you for all the points.

Great hosting! This was a fun contest overall.

congrats @King Rollo clap

That was my 15 pointer and I am just happy that Archive won another contest in this forum <3...they're truly amazing!!!

Thank you everyone who voted for DJ Quicksilver - I Have A Dream...happy with that result, and it goes the same as @FrankLuck (thank you for the 18 wub) that I've always wanted to send it to main contest, so I am happy it found home here (and didn't completely flop lol). Thank you <3

Amazing spin off and great job @NocheLuna for pulling this so...you made it seem so effortlessly but I am sure that was a lot to come up with all the 40+ themes!!!
