Congrats Dandy, awesome entry! I think nothing will beat Kenton Slash Demon for me, but 'Mum Does The Washing' is high up the list of my fave BJSC entries.

After listening to Semi 2 for the second time, I also thought that 'Traum' might get lost in the semi, a DNQ with 11 votes is quite special though (I think?).

Ecstatic with a 2nd place! To think I very nearly switched to Yseult too! Thank you to everyone who voted. There were moments I thought it’d be another entry of mine that was being hyped/predicted to do well and then not do anywhere near that. Thankfully it wasn’t!

33rd for me (pending any corrections) is the worst result in a final since I started entering again last year haha. My run since then is 32-22-DNQ-28-14-33 if I remember correctly (and I believe I do - shocker!). Would like it to improve somewhat but I'm a bit worried that my planned next entry will break my qualification streak lmao. I just really love the song right now, it's striking and I want to share it and see how it does. I've now accomplished my three qualifiers in a row so maybe that's why I'm already feeling willing to take a risk haha.

this was another case of me seeing everyone in the listenthrough piss themselves over an entry and thinking it was gonna win so fair play to @dandy* and congrats on the win!

well getting barely any points post scoreboard freeze wasn't fun and getting knocked out of the top 10 wasn't fun so....... probably not going back to Altyr any time soon bc that was just foul 😗 I did brace myself for it bc I thought this was gonna be the typical "get hyped in the semis and then finish 7-20 places lower than predicted" and I got a lot of support from people I didn't expect so thanks for that!

After 88 contests over the past 12 years, it feels like the right time for us to close the door on our Buzzjack Song Contest legacy and Buzzjack as a website.

Thank you everyone for all of the votes, support and general loveliness over these last 14 years on this website. I have truly made some wonderful friends and I am so grateful for this part of my life. I have so many fond memories of the site and wish you all the best of luck for the future!

A big part of my decision to log out for good comes from simply feeling that I have fallen out of love with the site. This contest, in many ways, helped bring that realisation into focus and made the choice easier for me to make. At times, it has felt like Hushkanukia has become an easy target for shade and slander, and while I could say a lot more about that, I have decided it’s not how I want to leave. Instead, I would much rather step away with fond memories of the good moments and the experiences that have meant so much to me over the years.

Congratulations to whoever wins this contest and I truly wish you all the best of luck! I'll pop back if The Saturdays ever reunite - keep me on your radarrrrrrrrrrrr.
