Go for a toilet break! That's what I did when 'Madame X' was announced, think I was gone 20 minutes! 😂

Just realised that ‘fragile’ is about her dead brother and ‘betrayal’ is about her Dad getting with the housekeeper after her mum died.

Madonna's "CONFESSIONS II" makes it seem likely that it could win for "best dance/electronic album" at the 69th annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 7 — 20 years after Confessions on a Dance Floor danced off with the honor in 2006. Madonna could also win Grammys for individual tracks on the album. Warner Records is tentatively planning to enter “I Feel So Free” for "best dance/electronic recording" and either “Dancerteria” or “Bring Your Love” (feat. Sabrina Carpenter) for "best dance pop recording". The project will also compete for album, record and song of the year; "best music film" for "Confessions II: The Film"; and "best music video" for “Bring Your Love.”

I genuinely think she’s getting a GRAMMY this era too. I posted it the first time I heard it and I’m sticking with the prediction that she’s going to get one or at the very least pick up nominations.

EDIT: Interestingly the Confessions Tour was the last time she picked up a GRAMMY award! Celebration was her last nomination.

Madonna could repeat her 1999 achievement, but in the Dance Category at the Grammys 2027.

I couldn’t care less about Grammys when she has so few as the queen of pop with a thousand iconic classics and Beyoncé has a million of them. It means nothing.

The lack of updates (US or UK) is making me anxious! Obviously the UK #1 is guaranteed but I still like to know lol

Ahh really? Didn’t we used to get updates everyday Monday-Thursday?

Worldwide iTunes Album Chart - 2026/07/07:

Let’s hope they have a few more tricks up their sleeve to seal the deal

Generally speaking it's just Monday and Wednesday, unless somebody with inside knowledge leaks or divulges extra information.

I think I know why I love ‘Fragile’ so much and it’s kinda like a blended mix of ‘Isaac’ and ‘Sorry’. I hear influences from both tracks throughout it (and they’re my 2 favourites from COAD).

The one track that isn’t really doing much for me atm is ‘One Step Away’. Idk what it is about it but it’s just not hitting me in the way that the rest/the majority of the other tracks are (and I fear that is an unpopular opinion!)

Now I have had a few days with this, I think it's not only the best album she's released in two decades, but better than the original Confessions. It doesn't have Hung Up, Get Together, or Sorry, songs so huge they're basically impossible to replicate, but it didn't explore dance music (and her own discography) the way this one does. also had a few clangers

It's almost audacious that she had this in her still, all these years later. It's relentless, and all 16 songs more than deserve their place. I think the second half is stronger and more interesting, not to discredit the first half. It's a journey. I saw someone describe School as being as much a product of Blackout as it is the soundtrack to a Babadook orgy

Introspective Madonna always gets me, especially now after 2023, so obviously I love the last few tracks too

Anyway. Smashed it x

This is how Love Without Words makes me feel

I can see where you’re coming from here… the original Confessions definitely has a core group of amazing tracks but it did also have a few that weren’t up to that (very high) standard - either through very clunky lyrics or just not being as strong. I absolutely forgive them in the album as everything else is so strong but I usually switch it off after Isaac and even then I’d skip How High if it wasn’t mixed in.

Confessions II is a very different experience but I agree that there’s nothing on it I’d consider to be bad. We’ve listened to it about ten times over on holiday and it’s just really strong album - even Bring Your Love and Love Sensation have grown on me; albeit they’re still the least essential tracks for me. The former does work well before Dancetaria though.

For me it’s a very different project to the original Confessions and all the better for it. It’s just smart marketing to link the album back to it to get people to listen and generate much more media interest.

My only slight grumble is I’m not mad on the aesthetics for the album, but I’ll wait until I’m back in the UK to judge it properly in person.

I can see this getting a dance album Grammy and maybe song too. Slayyyter could be the biggest competition.
