Provisional count is 55 countries have voted correctly, one voted incorrectly and three did not vote

lol if I get banned from the competition next month after I purposely voted early to make it easier on myself and the host as I’m on a weekend away and only just popped on to check the forum on the first free second I’ve had.

So be it if so, ill live with the consequences but I think it seems a tad extreme when votes were submitted with song title and artist and, while maybe a little inconvenient, the host had multiple days to spend maybe 3 minutes getting the counties from the information on the message.

i would say this would be a bit extreme if this was to happen considering incomplete votes / votes without nations listed have been accepted a lot in the past so i would hope it doesn’t happen!

No where have I said I wasnt accepting it, but if you want to hallucinate and be mad about something that never happened.... thats like 45% of all internet traffic so like go right ahead, have fun with it

You did say it wouldn’t be though? You said 36 out of 37 would be accepted.

Oh i know exactly what I said and I said nothing about the 37th vote not being accepted, in fact I said nothing about the 37th vote at all. If you want to read between the lines and create your own interpretation of my words thats fine, but dont come at me all mad for something that doesnt exist. Everyone has a chance to fix their votes before they are "accepted" and deemed final and uneditable because they forgot their 7 pointer or 1 pointer or in this case country names. An incorrect vote is also one that does not distribute all the points correctly, they get given extra chances to fix and then included even where they were not remedied before the deadline. I also accept late votes without saying a word or deducting them for it.

Being honest, particularly the regarding the bolded part, I'm wishing I hadn't made that suggestion. I didn't really anticipate that digs, intentional or not, would be made on multiple occasions throughout this contest.

I made that suggestion because there have been lots of times in my life where I've relied on reminders outside of the contest. After going back to find my voting history, I've also found that I've been blocked from participating on multiple occasions because I didn't vote in the final, and have had a points reduction in the semi too (before then voting in a final that I didn't participate in). I never dispute it (and never will) if I fail to vote, reminder or no reminder - I understand the rules and will go along with whatever they are.

As I've said to you, I've always respected how you just say it as it is, but I feel respect runs both ways and you're not being wildly respectful to the people participating by tagging them publicly in this thread and saying that we're having a literacy crisis, alongside it feeling at times like your mission in this contest has been to have one long dig at me, because of a suggestion I made that I believed would be for the better of everyone in the contest... (Again, it's fine if people don't agree with that, I'm not losing any sleep and won't lose sleep if I forget to vote)

Otherwise, the hosting has been minimal and spot on, and a great showcase that hosting doesn't need to take up all your time! After sitting on my thoughts for the last day or so, I don't think you've actually intended to come across as digging at anyone (I don't think anyone means any malice), I think it's just you being direct with your thoughts.

Sorry if I've rambled there too much, just getting my thoughts out!

Why is a full set of votes with both song and artist names being deemed unacceptable tho??? 😆 when the votes were submitted at a time when your OP instructions weren’t most clear and had been misinterpreted by others going by comments in this thread

Roughly 9pm CEST / 8PM BST i reckon

There are two people who need to adjust something with their votes (before people start hallucinating: 1 needs to fix voting for someone who DNQd and 1 needs to fix voting for a country twice) and I want to give them the time to do so before I default to BJSC standard practice of bumping everyone up and losing the 1 pointer
