I didn't try to enter Valencia this time, but I'm kinda surprised it's been vetoed! I was convinced I was the only one here that noticed it's existence, and other artists that have had songs doing just as well as (or even better than) 'Lucky You're A Star' have been entered!

For what it's worth, it's a bop but doesn't even come close to being as good as LYAS!

If she didn't do that with literally every song she every plans do release, I probably wouldn't have discovered LYAS and come back to BJSC to try to enter it (obviously I was too slow lol)

I think these were referring to ORKID, who was vetoed at the very start of confirmations to be fair.

Not heard either of those songs yet but on artist name alone and recent form in BJSC and other contests (I won Club Bizarre with Brutalismus 3000 not so long ago too so they are popular on the forum already) they're not surprising vetoes.

Edit: just checked them both. How does Slut manage to rip off both Scheiße by Lady Gaga and Bodies by Drowning Pool, with a touch of LAMB era Gwen in the verses too. Impressive

I was so shocked when I heard that in the bridge. 🤣 Going by her aesthetic, the thought of her releasing something inspired by that isn't wilding surprising... it just felt so random in this song!

These latter vetoes had a bit more discussion than the first 3 so apologies to the two members behind them.

I don’t mind being transparent in saying I didn’t vote to veto Valencia but I think there’s something to be said for “not now but not forever” with some artists and that they need a bit of a cooling off period. Avery Cochrane was one of them too but I don’t think these artists will be vetoed every time going forward so if someone sends them in the future and they don’t get vetoed, we’re not being inconsistent if you get me.
