Official Charts Report

Going only one way! The Chemical Brothers 2015 hit Go could break the Top 10 for the very first time (7).

Having made its maiden entry inside the Top 40 on Friday, the track is now looking to ascend the proverbial chart mountain once more, currently up 15 places.

This spike in popularity is due to Go being included in the new Netflix action-thriller Apex, starring Taron Egerton and Charlize Theron.

All in all, it would mark an 8th Top 10 success for British duo Ed Simons and Tom Rowlands.

The highest new entry could come courtesy of Charli xcx and Rock Music (20). The British singer-songwriter surprised everyone by announcing the track unexpectedly on Thursday.

Having recently dominated the Singles Chart thanks to his recent biopic, three Michael Jackson hits in Billie Jean (3), Beat It (9), Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough (13) and a Jackson 5 tune I Want You Back (33), are all on course to rise.

A tune which is experiencing a real moment right now is Propsa and Cloonee’s Free Your Mind. Having achieved a fresh peak a couple of days ago, the dance-infused banger is now aiming to pierce the Top 20 (19).

Calvin Harris team-up with Irish artist Jazzy on Satisfy could lead to a debut main chart appearance (30) as two SIENNA SPIRO tracks in Material Lover, used in the recent soundtrack for The Devil Wear’s Prada 2, may rise an impressive 34 places (33), while The Visitor looks to re-enter the Top 40 offerings (36).

Every time I see the song title "Free Your Mind", I always think of the En Vogue song.

With Sienna climbing at least we're looking good for avoiding another week with no new entries! I Want You Back and Material Lover sharing a position?

Fairly sure I Want You Back's apparent #33 position is a typo, given the article mentions it's a climber...!

Oh really? I had no idea it was in that film... ;)

"Rein Me In" is set to be the 10th song with 30 or more weeks in the top 10. Olivia Dean will be the first artist in history to have multiple songs to do this.

Can we rein in the fiat 500 crushed velvet heart FM listeners from that boiled chicken and steamed rice of a song immediately please

Tame Impala and Olivia Rodrigo mixed with an awful Top 5. Come on Tame Impala, Olivia Rodrigo or The Chemical Brothers ft Q-Tip.

It’s streams are increasing - it’s not peaked yet 🤣

I’m not sure they are, it’s rolling average is down 55,000 on Spotify compared to last week (I think it’s just that the market is also declining too)

Hmm I’m all for younger generations getting to know older music and artists - but by the time it’s Christmas we’ll be getting to a point that there’s been more older songs in the top 10 then new songs…

It’s becoming a bit of a joke now - especially as it’s preventing new artists getting Top 10 / 40 / 75.

Nice to have the Chems back in the top 10. A good climb for "Material Lover" - it is much better than "The Visitor". Apperciate the drop of BAAB - hope it will be out of the top 10 on Friday.

I'm old enough to remember when the charts were dominated by this thing called "new music", remember that?

Still, it's amazing to see Go finally getting its flowers after 11 years.

Tbf I love all the throwback songs.

Most new stuff really isn't clicking with the public this year.

Only three of these originally came out in 2026.

How many genuine new hits have we had so far?

It's MAY!

Think we urgently need some new chart rules tbh as much i love rediscovering the viral classics.

A 2026 hit will take off but in 2027 when it will be old once more and the cycle repeats
