Ariana's releasing this Friday, I'd say she definitely has a chance of stopping Rein Me In (or at least booting it off the top for a week).

For context, Ariana's opening weeks for her last few lead singles:

71,636 yes, and? [#2, 600 sales behind Noah Kahan]

60,909 positions [#1]

72,881 thank u, next [#1, on less than 5 days of sales]

74,290 no tears left to cry [#2, 9k behind Calvin & Dua]

With Rein Me In under 50k last week, I think Ariana has a decent shot at the top spot (depending on how the song actually sounds of course).

Of course the quality of the song is important, but I would say Ariana is even more popular now than she was when she released her last album.

I’d be shocked if Ari didn’t sail to the top - it’s an anticipated return, she also has physicals dropping in week 1 (There’s 6 of them and several are sold out - assuming if there is the 3 physical rule that the 3 highest sellers will count).

Can’t see a world where she dosent make it tbh. (I’m here for it after ‘We Can’t Be Friends’ was blocked by Benson Boone drama).

I dont know whether she is more POPULAR (pun intended) but id be suprised if she cant do 50k

I wish I could understand why the weather becoming unbearably hot is causing so many people to want to listen to 'Rein Me In' more but eh x (it doesn't exactly strike me as a summery song)

It seems to have taken on, when I see it in videos, some kind of "beer garden" lads chanting with their arms around one another, pint in hand kind of cult status, that the likes of Oasis, Mr Brightside & Sweet Caroline have. I don't suppose Mr Brightside sounds wildly summery either but it's the audience that it appeals to rather than the sound or theme of the song, I guess.

The only one who can stop it if they release a pre-album single is Taylor Swift

Like mentioned further up, I’d be really surprised if Ariana doesn’t knock it off next week, plus she has physicals too.

Olivia R has physicals and seems to be doing nothing. It’s like her label are not bothered. They bothered with Drop Dead

She literally knocked them off the top 6 weeks ago with Drop Dead not every song has to be pushed hard

RMI: + 47,819 / +11.47%

Usually the lead single will get the biggest push, with most physicals, playlists, price reductions etc. they did all of that with drop dead which was the lead, but it’s not the norm for that to happen with every single single!
