If I had to pick the winner based off the listenthrough then it'd probably be Basement Jaxx. Not sure on what else could contend.

I really thought the Basement Jaxx song was a hit, can't believe it missed the top 40. Maybe there's a chance for it to have a Go style second wind in the future.

I would also peg that as a potential winner, as seems to cover all voter bases.

I would love to see my 18 do well, I'm just gutted I didn't hear it back in 2006 as feels like it would have been one of my songs of the year if I had. It shall be one of my songs of 2026 instead.

I think Basement Jaxx will be the most likely winner.

Eh I wasn't there for the listenthrough so maybe I'm off base but I'm not sure I'd peg Basement Jaxx as a winner? A more typical song from them I'd normally agree would probably be a contender but I thought this was a bit of an odd song to be honest, who knew Basement Jaxx decided to go country in 2006 x

Mind I don't know what I would predict to win. Maybe LCD Soundsystem?

Yeah basically that but the way I said it sounded more dramatic. 😄

Really hope my 18 pointer does well but I can see it struggling to get votes - especially with the alt crowd
