I feel like Delta pops up in 95% of song contests (particularly recently haha) and gooddelta has only actually entered Delta about 73% of those times 🙊

I hadn't heard that song before, it's a very nice classic Delta song! If you hadn't heard anything since she stopped repeating in the UK, that song would fit in fairly well with what you expected of her!

I love Puracane, I had two songs by them as song contest potentials in particular, the other is from 2009 so wouldn't have fit here but I'm still considering sending it to BJSC sometime, screw self-imposed rules around self-recycling tbh I might wait til next year at least haha.

There's also a guest vocalist on 'Warzone' by the name of Martina Topley-Bird who some of you might recognise from her vocal work with Tricky on albums such as Maxinquaye, as well as a few solo albums. I just love how the two women's voices interact with each other throughout the song, it creates such a cool vibe when combined with the beats.

Wine Red was a bit of a throwback. I haven't thought about it in 20 years but my sister definitely used to listen to that in her emo days. Going to assume it was a Fueled By Ramen release.

Thanks for hosting this edition of Bop Idol, it's definitely been a high quality edition... albeit one that I knew nearly all the songs in the list below before it began - special mention to Anathallo which was the main discovery of the contest for me so thank you to whoever sent that one.
