I submitted it tactically because I genuinely thought it would be an absolute crowd pleaser on BJ, really thought you had a shot at winning. But it’s not my favourite in the list despite it being a very good song!

But when it got rejected there was only I think 8/9 people that had submitted, saw your name and for some reason, I remember back in the CC/CHC days that you liked her a lot! I was with @Lee_J11 at the time and said it straight away (he too was weirded out that I remembered such a random fact but forget everything he tells me )

I was on there too, and Regina was on my shortlist to send.

But I've always had in mind to send this specific song by The Cardigans to something or other and it felt a perfect fit.

Aside, ahem from the fact, that it very much is not a 'bop'. But then a few other songs in the lineup aren't either.

It’s a play on “The Best X Album In The World… Ever” series from the 90s. I quite like the title. And I really the like Bop Idol title as it’s so 00s… even if we do forever get people thinking it means pure pop only.

Seeing as it's nowhere near the best song contest on this forum, 'Retro Forum Song Contest' definitely works better for me!

Bop Idol is quickly racing up there to become a contender for best contest for me. My top few discoveries in this Bop Idol edition are better than my favourite discoveries in the last few BJSC editions.
