Friday at 16:031 day Was never really a fan of the number ones from Pixie, but 'Cry Me Out' that was an good song from her.
Friday at 16:271 day All About Tonight is a good upbeat track from Pixie Lott. I like the euphoric synths in it.But yes 'All Fired Up' by Saturdays would have been a better #1 - production is like eurotrance from 2003 like Kira - I'll Be Your Angel - excellent. Friday at 17:081 day I do like 'All About Tonight', although it is very cliched lyrically. It all went pretty spectacularly wrong for her after this.
Friday at 17:311 day All about tonight is pretty mid , pixie definitely had better though, shame this was the week that also saw the beginning of the end for Leona really

Yesterday at 04:171 day oh gotta catch upI really really love 'Wherever You Are', it's a real oddity in the chart, the choir is really well done here, and it feels almost magical (as the Civ opening songs prove a good choir can be ethereally beautiful, don't know why my mind goes there but it's another prominent example of choirs in pop culture music), I think that's about as good as charity singles get. Absolutely despise The Lazy Song, and All About Tonight, I think the former is just obnoxious from an artist who clearly didn't need to be doing such rot, and the latter is just a very weak song from an artist who had few highlights but they were not the songs she got to #1 with, it's another song about the clerb but I agree it hasn't aged well, it's because there's just nothing about it, it doesn't earn any of what Pixie is singing about, it feels like she's singing flat, and as such again, when she sings 'the club is alive' I do not feel it - oh look it's the same problem as JLS.As for 'Party Rock Anthem', at least their other prominent 'song' didn't get to #1 here but that was by far the worst thing about LMFAO (still hate that one), when they were just singing about anthems you did feel it, 'Party Rock Anthem' was a pretty undeniable good sound of 2011, I can see why you'd hate this on overplay and I think I did also back in 2011 but it's also just quite a bit of a banger, I think the underlying instrumental brings it all together.Haven't heard 'Swagger Jagger' probably since it got to #1 but I don't think I hate it? It's obviously not a great song objectively but I think Cher's personality sells it enough to make it acceptable-ish. Chorus is just a bizarre rendition of that melody and the verses aren't anything special, it's just mildly fun.most of the breakdowns in these songs sound so similar don't they

Then just on a slope until 2015 being the show’s last relevant season imo, once the streaming era officially took over it was done.Back to 2011, honestly good season for talent. I would’ve gone for a complete revamp with the judges though and sacked Louis as well, replace him with the long rumoured Noel Gallagher or Ozzy Osbourne (familiarity to viewers of the show vis-à-vis Sharon) and swap UK & USA roles out for Rowland and Scherzinger (again loved Kelly but she was a one and done and viewers resonated with Nicole since she had already been a part of the show in capacity since 2007).So yeah a lineup Ozzy-Tulisa-Gary-Nicole.

If only they got Impossible before James did.Don’t Wanna Go Home is indeed an abomination. Funfact: "Impossible" (then only a few months old) was supposed to be Cher Lloyd’s winners single the year prior.

That says a lot about how Little Mix view it I guess.
22 hours ago22 hr Author The next song will be up soon and it's an artist who scored multiple #1's in 2011.
21 hours ago21 hr Author 17 – Stay Awake - Example1 Week at #1 / Weekly Sales – 73,402#96 in EOY 2011 – Total Sales of 237,000The second of two #1’s for Example in 2011 is up next with Stay Awake. Stay Awake was another one of the six songs that kept Moves Like Jagger from #1, this time by only 266 copies, the closest Moves Like Jagger would come to #1. Production of Stay Awake was done by Nero who themselves scored their first #1 hit just three weeks earlier with Promises. I found that enjoyed this one more than Changed The Way You Kissed Me even if I felt the music didn’t quite match the lyrical content of the song. Out of all the songs I've heard so far for the first time I think this and one more that's still to come have the biggest potential to grow on me. I enjoyed this so much more than I was expecting too.Elsewhere in the charts this week Ed Sheeran scored his second top 5 hit with You Need Me, I Don’t Need You debuting at #4, David Geutta and Nicki Mianj’s collaboration debuted at #20, though it would need to wait until 2012 before it would reach a new peak. Also Nicole Scherzinger’s fourth single Wet from her debut album Killer Love peaked at #21 and the Nicki Minaj and Rihanna collaboration Fly was a new entry at #67.
21 hours ago21 hr Good #1, quite liked it at the time, and actually sounds like a #1 single.I didn't know that Nero produced the song but it makes sense with the dubstep bit. Edited 20 hours ago20 hr by TheSnake

20 hours ago20 hr Not too mad on that Example one. It's... fine but a not a lot else going for it for me.
19 hours ago19 hr Stay awake is one of the songs I couldn’t recall being at number one. It’s okay but not very memorable, though I do like the dubstep influence.
