Sunday at 22:004 days Love 'Changed The Way You Kiss Me'2011 really seemed like his year, and he quickly fell off afterwards (which is a shame as I've liked some of the stuff he's done since even more). I'm surprised he doesn't occasionally pop up in the chart as a feature or something these days.

Sunday at 22:544 days Changed the way you kissed me was and still is a bop , I can take or leave the placing though 5 places higher is probably max for me anyway
Monday at 08:504 days Author The next song in the rank will be posted soon and it's another one spent just the one week at #1.
Monday at 09:174 days Proper dance banger this one and still sounds good, Example seemed to be set for long success like Calvin or Guetta (my fave track was Example's collab with Pet Shop Boys) and then it all fizzled out sadly. I'd have this higher up the list I expect. That said the lower-peaking Nicole and Coldplay singles are even better than this track.
Monday at 09:244 days 'Loca People' has a pretty memorable hook yet feels like quite a forgotten song now. I was fittingly in Spain that summer and remember hearing it, uncensored, for the first time in the wild there (at a funfair, so I don't think I saw people partying in that specific location x) before it topped the chart here later in the year. It's not something I'd actively seek out but a bit of silly nostalgia when it's on.'Changed the Way You Kiss Me' is my favourite to drop out so far Example's general delivery and Michael Woods' electro production create an intense, well built-up atmosphere. The rapping section might have harmed the song in the wrong hands but he pulls that off pretty effortlessly.
Monday at 09:314 days Author 22 – The Lazy Song – Bruno Mars1 Week at #1 / Weekly Sales – 67,837#15 in EOY 2011 – Total Sales of 618,100Bruno Mars was on a hot streak at the start of his career in 2010/2011 with The Lazy Song being his 4th #1 single as a lead artist or feature. Debuting at #86 on the chart dated 23/4, it took three weeks for The Lazy Song to reach the top 5 when it climbed to #2 and a further two weeks after that to take the #1 spot where it sold 67,837 in the process. Whilst it only stayed at #1 for the one week it would spend another four weeks in the top 10, with three of those weeks being in the op 5. Elsewhere in the chart that week Lady Gaga was new at #6 with The Edge Of Glory, the third single from her soon to be released album Born This Way and second single Judas had vaulted from #20 to #11. A new single from Take That, Love Love was new at #15 and Romanian singer Alexandra Stan made her first appearance in the top 20 with her single Mr Saxobeat.I’ve gone through stages of hating and liking this song, initially I found it really annoying compared to the previous two singles from Bruno but then I slowly warmed to it, only to go off it again. Nowadays though I’m somewhere in the middle with this song, so placing it here seems about right to me as there are days when I could happily listen to it, but then there are days where I’ll change the song as soon as it comes on.
Monday at 11:003 days Absolutely horrific song from Bruno Mars, I was mortified it did as well as it did.

Monday at 11:073 days The lazy song was alright shame it went number 1 and the far superior marry you didnt
Monday at 13:313 days I’ve never really liked The Lazy Song, it’s a bit boring, in fact it does feel lazy!I’ve always been amazed it reached number one, it just seemed to squeeze a week in between bigger hits.
Monday at 14:033 days "The Lazy Song" is not bad and I like it. However, some other of his songs from that time are so much better. Maybe similar position for me, but I would have other songs behind than already revealed.
Monday at 16:143 days The Example song I like although preferred the material from his previous album a lot more, especially Watch The Sun Come Up, which is one of my small pool of BJSC entries turned real-life hits. The Lazy Song i feel similar about, I don't hate or love it but all the other singles from the album are better. It is very odd how it did SO much better than Marry You, I guess the album had been out longer by the time that started to climb.
Monday at 16:373 days The Lazy Overplayed Song'Had some really nice sex' we dont need to know that lol.
Monday at 21:453 days I really like 'Kickstarts', and Example's other singles from the previous album were quite breezy too, but despite a hardened dance production on his first #1 it didn't have the same appeal for me - if anything I also prefer his next #1, elastoplast mention notwithstanding. (There's another two songs I'm a little surprised haven't appeared yet, but have even more scope for ironic appreciation.)The Doo-Wops & Hooligans album kind of saw Bruno redefining pop for the 2010s with accessible tunes and lyrics - there's some charm to that style of songwriting, including on 'The Lazy Song', but I find its actual lyrical content leaves a lot to be desired.
Tuesday at 08:583 days Author Todays entery will be revealed soon and it's one most people would've expected to be featured a lot sooner.
Tuesday at 09:323 days Author 21 – Wherever You Are – Military Wives ft Gareth Malone1 Week at #1 / Weekly Sales – 555,622#13 in EOY 2011 – Total Sales of 631,950Finishing just outside the top 20 we have the 2011 Christmas #1 single. Wherever You Are by Military Wives ft Gareth Malone. I think the sentiment behind the choirs is beautiful and the causes of which they raised funds for was good. The Military Wives were formed in 2011 Gareth Malone for a BBC 2 television series ‘The Choir: Military Wives’. The content of the song is based on letters written by the women to their absent husbands and partners. As mentioned just before this was released in the week of the Christmas #1 battle and faced competition from a re-release of the Nirvana classic Smells Like Teen Spirit, Lou Monte’s 1960 song Domminick the Donkey and X Factor winers Little Mix’s winners single Cannonball. The battle wasn’t even close with The Military Wives selling 555,622 to claim the coveted Christmas #1 spot, n fact Little Mix at #2 could only manage 116,578 in their second week on the chart.I never actually heard this song until I started this task and to be completely honest for some reason I had very low expectations for it and I thought it’s end up in my bottom few. I was quite taken aback by it and really enjoyed the song and found it quite touching and beautiful and whilst it’s not one that I’d regularly go back to it is still quite comfortably ahead of every song below it on this list.
Tuesday at 09:503 days Got to be honest, this would be in my top ten.I bought it at the time and still find it completely beautifully sung, and a gorgeous composition. It gets lumped in with all the other choir/charity singles by most people but it's not a clunky cover like A Bridge Over You from 2015 for example, but a really lovely original. It was Christmas No.1 in my personal chart too.
