I am very here for Baby Jane but must admit that I’d be a tad lost at it winning whilst Starry Eyed came 10th (still great of course!) I don’t think they’re wildly different.

The Baby Jane song feels on the same level as the prior couple to me which came 10th. Nevertheless, the hype is here for it so it looks like it's coming for a big improvement.

RontBet is shortening Skall odds to 6/1 (third favourite after joint Hendinia and Bronzil) and lengthening poor Yehesi out to 12/1 due to the votes they'll be missing.

I thought 'Starry Eyed' would be a winner but if that only came 10th I'd be a little surprised if 'Midnight Highway' did dramatically better than that.

FARC's song is maybe now the only one that I still do not remember anything about after listening to every song 4+ times lol - I am once again finding myself baffled as to what supposedly makes a strong pop contender, there are so many other pop songs that stand out way more.

The trick is to predict a pop song by an artist that did well recently, bump it a few spots higher if the song itself is worse

Regarding similarities, a funny thing is the reason I was hesitant to send 'Starry Eyed' in BJSC 181 or 182 when I had the chance is I thought it quite similar to her previous entry 'Cemetery Date'. I DNQed in both those contests, and when I tried to reconfirm with it in BJSC 183 it was too late.

Another funny thing is the song I then tried to send was by Tourist! ('In Unison') I switched back when my original choice by Cult Of Venus became available. So it's still very possible that Baby Jane will miss the top 10 on my watch (as some have predicted), while another artist of one of my potentials wins, or at least does a lot better!

I really don't see myself contending near the top this time anyway - I was surprised 'Starry Eyed' didn't finish higher than 10th, and I haven't picked up on as much vocal support for this one - good predictions yes, albeit not necessarily the same thing. But we'll see.

I did think Skall's entry stood out as one which could attract votes from all sides and would be happy to see it win!

Definitely no hate from me, was just discussing it in the context of Starry Eyed’s end finish! I love Baby Jane and I keep meaning to check the album out so Midnight Highway has pushed me to bookmark it on my Spotify. And I’d looove a Bronzil win, we’ve been consistently on similar wavelengths all year between Baby Jane, Tourist and Luna 😂
