Friday at 23:263 days Great sales for Sienna at #2 as well. I think she could have pushed for #1 on another chart week but Madonna was just too much of a titan for her!

It helps obviously, but I’d imagine the vast majority are happy to stick to one vinyl, of course there are super fans who will collect every edition but not many. There is genuinely much more hype this time around, as evidenced by the stronger streaming numbers.
Saturday at 08:492 days Great to see a healthy top 5 in terms of sales on the albums, Madonna did pretty well in the end with streaming numbers and getting that top 40. I wonder what Sienna's breakdown was sales wise, as her streaming numbers must be pretty decent, I'd imagine she'll stay top 10 next week. Glad Noah's still holding up well, feel like only him, harry and Olivia have had albums that have managed to have legs on them so far this year.Looks like rein me in might get a 17th week but I feel this hinges on the England match later as if they win 3 Lions/Wonderwall could mount a challenge.
Saturday at 08:532 days The sales between 2-5 on the singles being so close, could Ella rise to number 2 next week?

Saturday at 14:112 days hopefully Rein Me In has a boost this week so it can beat the Frankie Laine record and save us from a pitiful 26k number one
Saturday at 14:242 days 2024 feels a long time ago, with all those future classic singles out at the same time pushing sales through the roof at the top end. For a moment many of us hoped it could be something of a 'new normal' in terms of sales but looking back it was just one of those very strong periods for big hits that come along once or twice a decade. Now we have the opposite, the weakest the chart has looked at the top end for decades.I don't really understand what's happening, why is nothing new catching on at all? In all the years I've followed the charts I've never seen anything like it. All I can chalk it up to is that TikTok feels less dominant for breaking new/viral hits in a major way than it was a few years back (although is fuelling a lot of retro revivals), Hot Hits UK impact is obviously much lower, and radio impact is lower, so it takes a Herculean effort for anything new to break through. Record companies and A&R people must be tearing their hair out.
Saturday at 14:442 days Its funny you say tik tok tbf been listening to a few of the "viral tracks" from a few years time its amazing how fast the public moves on like most of them 1 hit and done looked at gayle ABCDEFU for example 😮

I think it’ll avoid ACR as it registered its lowest sale last week since being at the top so it won’t take much for it to increase.

Saturday at 17:322 days Im not sure you can count a soundtrack as culturally inpactful no matter who you are though 🤣🤣 especially an afterthought in the actual film 🤣

But judging it against other chart hits, not just end credit movie soundtrack songs (as oddly specific as that is ), which is the league it is in, it obviously doesn’t compare as favourably.
