  • Yes, of course the media should ‘shut up’ about an historical record that’s taken 70+ years to break, I mean where’s the news story in that? 🤔 It’s actually nice to see the charts get some widespread

  • Given Sam and Olivia don't have superpowers, probably yes

  • And about 2 good songs!

Why are we all casually overlooking the eternal smash ‘We Are” by Ana Johnsson cheeseblock

Exactly what I was going to say! Was enjoying it just a few weeks ago.

Signal Fire by Snow Patrol was one of the Spiderman soundtrack songs back in 2007.

Phenomenal song! I still play it occasionally.

I'm the only one with Swtichfoot still on their phone?

I think I also have the Tonight Alive track

yea adéla’s locking for top 40 then. Tame Impala might just be a shock entry on friday but if not friday then def the next one.

New peaks also for:

20 Alyssa Grace - Bloodstream (+8)

36 HUGEL, Imael Angel, Ultra Nate - Movin' To The Sun (+7)

Giving Ella’s ‘Be Her’ some last minute Wednesday streams - it needs to cling onto its Top 40 mid placement.

I think the broader question is how can anyone bear to willingly put themselves through it lol

Its not me thats all I can say 🤣 if others choose to torture themselves well 🤣

I think its really good anyway it hits hard as an emotive track and I like most of the vocal range that she uses in the song. Maybe she could do without some of the hiccuping bits. The "I'm so glad I made it out" bit is a real hands in the air moment though!

Exactly 🩵 if people have a problem with tast just Know Peppa pig has a higher pitchfork ranking than a lot of the pop girlie's

Thank you Tracy Chapman

Even that?

I would stick up for about a half dozen or so of his big hits (Even Though I’m Leaving, Doin This, Going Going Gone, Fast Car, Where the Wild Things Are) plus the entirety of his "Fathers & Sons" album which tanked for some reason.

There’s quite a few Spider Man related/adjacent hits tbf!

Post Malone - Sunflower

Eminem - Venom

Eminem - Tobey

Must be some others too…

"Vindicated" by Dashboard Confessional is the closing credits song from 2004's "Spider-Man", a terrific emo ballad.

Talking of which - is ‘Tracy Chapman’ anywhere near getting all of its songs certified? It has high streaming figures for an album that only had one big hit (though admittedly it has reached the threshold of 3 popular songs required to have a successful album in the streaming era - including ‘Baby Can I Hold You’ and ‘Talkin’ Bout A Revolution’.)

Answer: no, only those 3 tracks. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Eh I wouldn't consider him taking a good song and just releasing a cover with basically nothing changed (except for it being sung by his considerably more grating voice) as counting as a good song from him. Better than most of his originals though I guess.
