RMI +20k, seems to be having a viral moment after it was posted as someone’s wedding song which I’m sure is helping.

Rein Me In's going to continue getting slight boosts every few weeks and avoid ACR forever, isn't it?

  • It was also an eclipse of the sun rather than the heart but there you go - if only the song had been called 'Partial Eclipse Of The Sun' it would be number one by now

  • Eclipse day - time for Delta Goodrems song to finally smash please.

Might as well have "Rein Me In" #1 for the rest of the year. Maybe Sam and Olivia can release a festive version for Christmas.

It’d be funny if we weren’t making these Xmas jokes up this time last year 😬

I’d assume we’re more likely to see R Bonnie again, no complaints on that front.

Just checked Apple Music...

And this was when a lot of people were wishing it would finally get there 😅

It’s been stable throughout its ‘rein’ at the top with no huge spikes or dips - I’m more shocked that despite not doing record breaking numbers nothing else at all is able to mount a challenge.

It's a similar case to what Choosin' Texas has been doing on the Hot 100. That song's been doing ~300 points each week for months - good numbers but nothing earth-shattering - but the rest of the market's points beyond occasional big debuts have been pretty weak (the #2 song's been over 100 points adrift numerous times) allowing it to dominate effectively by default. Rein Me In's lead may have shrunk a bit at points and it's been dethroned by a handful of big-name debuts (American Girls; drop dead; I Knew It, I Knew You and hate that i made you love me for a week or two each) but nobody seems to be able to consistently hunt it down - it was nearly 10k units adrift at the top last week and it's likely to be similarly dominant this week too.

#18 on Amazon now - even allowing for the usual exclusions in their chart that I can see, that's easily top 40 of all songs there.

Unfortunately it had just gone back to ACR (it wasn't top 100 in the mids having been comfortably in the few before), and the eclipse may have come too late in the week to lift it enough for a reset - it depends on Spotify later!

Love Total Eclipse but I'm really hoping it doesn't go top 40 again because of the eclipse, these old song resets are getting very frustrating!

They really should have planned the eclipse better and scheduled it for earlier in the week. Wednesday evening is the worst possible time for it! 🤷🏻‍♂️

Love how "Total Eclipse of the Heart" is climbing up streaming services, even though it wasn't a total solar eclipse here yesterday. 🤣

LOVE to see this!

'expectations' has been above 'honeybee' every day this week, hoping it can overtake officially...
