Our hopes remain for a top 40 finish as long as more donwloads to be needed. They're out of ITunes top albums. Second, lack of social media presence from the memebrs and streaming numbers. The promotion heavily relies to tiktok. I am hoping more for top 10 in Scotland, Ireland and Vinyl as well as physical sales

Considering the original release only peaked at #26 in Ireland I'd be surprised if it even re-enters the charts here.

Id say its this you literally only needed 200k stream to go top 4 the other day , our streams might not be "weak overal" but the bar at the top is very low

Whether or not this is the case, I do feel that her top 4 songs will be far ahead on streaming and the 5th and 6th tracks, so her top 4 songs must have huge streams on Apple.

Let’s make that top 3, because on Spotify ‘I Will Always Love You’ seems far behind the top 3. Even if ‘Islands…’ is not included in her 3 tracks, I think ‘I Will Always…’ would not be guaranteed a top 40 place this week.

On the top of three songs per artists, isn’t Kenny Rogers the named lead on Islands in the Stream?

confusingly he was at the time but for the digital release the credits have swapped to have Dolly billed first and this is going by OCC

Sybil was really not happy about the 'Free Your Mind' debacle!

Has she referenced/spoke about it somewhere?

Oddly the song is omitted from the tracklist of its parent (Kenny Rogers) album on streaming so it's only available via Dolly Parton compilations.

what was the reason for it randomly charting again in March 2007?

probably when Dolly's catalogue was made available on iTunes - similar re-charting occurred for 9 To 5 around the same time

somehow not the only time Comic Relief brought Islands In The Stream back to the charts (Barry Islands In The Stream was a #1 Comic Relief charity single 2 years later in 2009)

Wiki suggest label politics are the reason with Sony owning the rights and also oversee Dolly’s catalogue, while Kenny’s album was Sony but is now (bar IITS) licensed by his own label with Capitol.

I wonder if Dolly will pull up the streaming market average and give Ella a week of decline. Ella has been dropping by such small amounts it looked like the market average would keep her stable for the second week in a row.

I like 'Movin' To The Sun' a lot, but the fact it's actually going to outpeak 'Free' just feels so incredibly wrong.

Fully agree and for some reason i had also managed conbince myself that Free was a number 1 and was shocked when i looked to disocver it only peaked at number.
