Nope. I was wrong. According to Kworb, it is ‘Jolene’ that has multiple versions streaming better than other versions of ‘9 to 5’.

And globally the multiple versions of ‘I Will Always Love You’ put that neck and neck with ‘Islands In The Stream’.

The way I just left my phone playing for the last hour or so with 9 to 5, Jolene and Islands on repeat

To be fair, if anyone was going to end the record breaking streak of Sam/Olivia, it would be really fitting for it to be someone iconic like Dolly rather than some throw away dance track that will be forgotten this time next year.

9 To 5 topped the US Hot 100 in February 1981 so a potential 45 year 6 months and 2 weeks gap between topping the US Hot 100 and the Uk charts.

Fever Dream was not up 25% week-on-week on Spotify on Friday so doubt that it will get a reset.

I think its more the fact rooting for a legend vs rooting for a song with AI roots

I was tired of Rein Me In at number 1 but it was still better than Hugel's legitimized AI slop getting there 🤕

I'm here for a Dolly Top 2.

I hope 9 to 5 gets the #1 but Jolene is just as a worthy #1.

It might be possible it overtakes "Islands In the Stream" to be her 3rd song next week? Perhaps charting top 100? As I think it's not far behind when combined, at least on Spotify.
