We have an alphabet quiz! Below you'll find 26 letters, each hiding something connected to the UK charts - an artist, song, album or group whose name/title begins with that letter.

However, nine of the letters are missing.

For the clues with a visible letter, simply work out the answer that begins with that letter.

For the 9 additional clues at the bottom, you have two things to figure out: the answer itself and which of the missing letters it belongs to. Match each answer to the correct letter to complete the alphabet.

Once you've solved as many as you can, send me your answers via DM as a list in alphabetical order, from A to Z.

For each correct answer with a given letter, you'll receive 2 points, while a correct answer plus the correctly matched missing letter will earn you 4 points.

Let the quiz begin!

T - Despite more than 40 UK Top 75 singles, this artist never reached Number 1.

U – A song that became associated with a so-called 'curse' because of events that coincided with its success.

- A band that deliberately stopped manufacturing one of its singles to prevent it from matching a long-standing UK chart record.

- At 18, this artist held two UK No. 1s at the same time.

- An artist who never appeared on the UK charts during their lifetime, but went on to achieve a UK No. 1 after their death.

Good luck! I hope the quiz won't be too difficult, and please don't be shy about sending in your answers, no matter how many you're sure (or unsure!) about. I learned quite a lot myself while putting these questions together, so hopefully you'll discover a few interesting things along the way too! 😊

Also, don’t forget to sign up to host a quiz if you’d like to, by leaving a comment here.

You can send me your answers until Monday, 7 September at 9 PM.

This has definitely peaked my interest. Will try and work some of this out.

It strikes me that some of these might have more than one correct answer. Will you still give points if the answer fits the clue even though it wasn't the answer you had in mind?

Also I wasn't aware a new quiz season had started o

I've got about 10 of these on first pass through but the rest are going to need some thinking about!

Interesting quiz, a few of these I remember from reading facts in Now booklets over the years.

I've got about 18 or so so far, a few head scratchers so I'll keep mulling it over.

I had so much fun putting the quiz together and doing all the research, and I’m really excited for the results presentation too! I think it’ll be nice to revisit some things you might have forgotten and learn a few new ones along the way.

I know none of them. I do have a good guess for one of the letters, but even there I'm not sure. And there are one or two ? clues that I got an answer for but the letters that the answers start with have another clue instead of ? so it's obviously wrong haha.

Goodness, this is gonna be a THINKING one... the first bit being wrapping my head round what I actually need to do! 😂

Will submit some answers shortly. ❤️

I’m currently going through everything letter by letter, checking all your answers and guesses that are different from mine and doing some research to see if they can also be accepted, so if you keep seeing me reading your messages over and over again, that’s why lol 😅
