Reminds of of the days when the Billboard Dance chart used to include the most random songs. I can guarantee that if they hadn't changed it to Dance/Electronic in 2013 Choosin Texas would have been the Number one on the Dance Club and Dance Singles chart.

I remember Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart hitting number one on the older Billboard Dance chart just because a remix was thrown in. I'm trying to visualise how anyone would dance to it other than a slow set dance!

The highest peaking dance track is choosin texas 🤭

" I can tell by the way hes 2 STEPPING round the room"

I remember when Ed Sheeran had a song called 2step and I was disappointed to find it wasn't a garage dance track.

I have just seen the Oasis movie.

Obviously too late to affect Friday's chart, but I wonder if any songs will chart next week - Champagne Supernova is a highlight of the film - will be great to see that finally be a UK hit.

Is it worth watching? As a huge Oasis fan I feel like I should but I don't know if it's worth going to the cinema or just waiting until it hits streaming? Is it mostly performances, interviews or documentary?

Ellie deserves so much better. Go listen to her deluxe if you haven’t yet she got away from the basic pop sound and returned to halcyon with the second half of the album

Apparently the chart was compiled by asking DJs what songs they'd played in clubs during the week, and then adding it all up. But apparently almost all the DJs were lying every week. They conspired to try and have the #1 on the chart change every week, amongst other things.

I'm shocked Adela's team haven't at least reduced the itunes album / Store download to £4.99 or something considering how close it is.

It’s good they are doing something but it feels like it’s a battle to stay Top 40 now rather than anything else.

They should’ve thrown out some more signed stuff - the signed bundles on Ellie’s website have been sold out all week and the personally signed Banquet ones seemed to go really quick too so guessing they were quite limited.

We start off with a brief history of the group - then there is footage of the group rehearsing - interviews with Noel and Liam - then we go to the first concert in Cardiff - the rest of the film is live performances from different concerts mixed with reactions of the locals ( one woman started telling a story about Bonehead then we realised she was talking about her dog Bonehead ), behind the scenes footage and news stories of the group.

It is made by Disney plus so will end up on there in a few weeks - it looks great up on the big screen and it is very loud.

Actually, it's nice to see Ella's label promoting the song this way. Nothing worse than a song at number one that both the artist and label are indifferent about! It was bad enough having the entire nation being indifferent to a number one for the last 22 weeks in a row! 😜

RMI wasn't #1 for 22 weeks in a row. Only 10.

It's actually pretty amazing to se Adela challenging for a #1 album out of nowhere. She's not exactly a very well known name and 'Ain't In LA' has only just started picking up in the last two or three weeks so I certainly wasn't expecting the album to debut anywhere #1!

I’m glad that they are too - Sienna and Hugels team seem to not be bothered.

Rein Me In was actively pushed though, there were 3 different vinyl, multiple streaming versions and 3 videos so wouldn’t say they sat back and were indifferent about it.

And I can assure you the general public weren'taware of that! But thanks for the clarification! 👍

Sienna launched a 59p store download today to win two tickets, travel and accommodation to her New York show!

Come on Sienna!!!

@JosephStyles you might want to change the picture of The Official Chart: First Look event as the host is changing and it's from 16:00 - 19:00. Jack Saunders also has a new picture on BBC Sounds and I imagine Lauren will get one before Sunday but if not just search "Lauren Layfield BBC Radio 1" and you'll find a good photo.
