So yes, it could have had five (that we know of)!It is a potential winner along with Ane Brun (with the large caveat I haven't heard anything else yet), so I hope we are spared of the DNQ woes this month. It's a smash, well done!Personally it was more like my 3rd option and never really in contention to rush and confirm, because just like you I assumed either DaTilt or Rob will be after the song!!!And I actually discovered it through @DaTilt chart in the first place, and I tend not to go after songs I discover through someone else's charts unless I am completely unaware beforehand. I think I heard it on NMF the day it came out! And thought, 'oh this is nice, guess we'll see it confirmed in 5 milliseconds' 😂
12 hours ago12 hr Anyhoo my entry this month is brought to you all courtesy of Megan from KATSEYE injuring her foot!Ok as much as I'd love to just leave that there without explaining the context, in all seriousness Devon Again was the replacement act for KATSEYE when they had to pull out at the last minute from Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields festival hehe. Saw her being hyped up as a general upgrade in Reddit comments and decided to check out a few of her songs, her more recent releases are some kind of middling country pop but this song from the tail end of last year (which is her most streamed song) is a great bit of Olivia/Chappell-esque euphoric sapphic alt-pop. She seems to have gone under the radar on BuzzJack despite her connection to Olivia (and also to Chappell, as she is Chappell's only labelmate on Dan Nigro's Amusement Records label, although this song predates that) so I am hoping this might be a hidden-ish (10 million streams on Spotify lol) gem that some of the pop hoes might make a good discovery from x Stalking last.fm I've seen that a few BuzzJackers have streamed songs by her before although only saw Jim who'd streamed this particular song.I think there are only three songs I've heard already, a couple from PJSC that I don't remember (although I apparently thought the Elley Duhé song was decent) & Neliönoir's from Jade's personal chart which is a tune x (I did skim listen to a couple of the other songs during the confirmation period as well for research purposes but I won't count those - very much intrigued to hear this Lankum version of 'Ghost Town' in full though, because yes it is that 'Ghost Town', seemed divergent enough from the original to not really be a veto threat though). Have been aware of hype around Angine De Poitrine for a while and they sound interesting and up my street but not actually got around to listening to them, a little surprised it's taken so long for them to pop up in a song contest! A good handful of others dotted around that I am excited for based on other songs I've heard from the artists as well. Quite surprising that this is the first time DJ Shadow has appeared in BJSC as a named artist as well, though he was entered as part of UNKLE a couple of times.
11 hours ago11 hr These semi finals are going to be brutal! But glad I’ve gone with my song after seeing who is in my semi finals! And if anyone gives the Chappell/Olivia song points that gave me nothing in the last contest I’ll be moaning!!!!
11 hours ago11 hr I mean it is quite different to the song you sent last month. Olivia and Chappell contain multitudes x

11 hours ago11 hr Can't say I recognize many of the names here. Very few, which is great! And another one of those contests where I'm impressed by the first song in my semi final. Love a smashing start; Neliönoir's entry is exceptional!
11 hours ago11 hr Semi-Final 1 YouTube playlistSemi-Final 2 YouTube playlistAside: my song does have an official music video but I decided to use the lyric video instead as the video has a lot of pointless dialogue in it (and some kind of gross imagery). The lyric video is a cute medium effort one. Also, brownie points to the first person to spot this month's Nicole Scherzinger/Eden's Crush moment (i.e. an act harbouring a member who would become a lot more well-known for their later work with a different group and as a solo artist). x

10 hours ago10 hr Indeed, I was one of the three who was trying for Paradiso Nights but knew full well I wouldn’t be alone, so I wasn’t gutted to lose it. That, and the fact I prefer FIANCHI but I’m well aware that’s not a hit, so I probably wasn’t being genuine to myself in choosing the one I prefer less anyway. Excited to see which artist from my personal chart Cody plumps for next contest though ❤️I was more gutted to miss out on Forevermore as my back up and hope that does well for Altyr. It did lead me to an entry that I’m very happy with though, so I always take these things as a sign. I found my entry to be something of a grower, which probably doesn’t bode well for BJSC but feels like a diversion from all of the loud/in your face pop and dance I’ve sent this year to something a bit more understated, kinda like London Grammar with an I Feel Love slinky dance vibe about it.
