No real surprise for Males and Groups, I'm wondering who sent Bladee as no one seemed to rank it highly (unless they didn't vote x) Dead or Alive I think got unlucky in a group this competitive, but they at least have You Spin Me Round... for the golden Gamu!

Tove definitely the victim of a tough category with questionnable song choice, she could definitely be back though I imagine she'll have some tough competition depending on how many slots there are available!

Think the choice for a lot of people now is whether to go safe, risky or big (especially in the female group!)

PURELY for the ABYSMAL song choice I wanted Zara to go.

But I will move past it because for the most part now I like her and her music enough to move on!

Think all the last places were pretty obvious so no shockers! Ready for the next round though

Well that gives a certain one of the groups a pretty big advantage.

If it follows XF pattern, it will probably be categories until the lives.

I had those thoughts, and weighing up to send something a bit more unknown and save an obvious big hitter.

I think some categories are probably easier to take risks/ send lesser known songs, or album tracks. Feels like with the Girls one slip up, or mis-step and you'll probably be out. So you need to send bangers.

Although saying that Milica did well as a bit of an unknown in a stacked category.

Yeah, we don't know how many are going to be up for the gold ticket, or how many will qualify. Could be like 7/8 from each category!

Not Tove!!! Such a waste of potential, I love that song but it was an odd choice - I hope she gets a second chance 💜

I have zero tactic, it's so difficult to guage what songs will land better than others so I'm just gonna send ones I like an hope for the best 😂

Those female results are wild. Kinda gutted for Tove because her back catalogue is so insanely strong - she has album tracks that would wipe the floor with pretty much the whole category but it was just a big swing and a big miss for Round 1 sadly. It probably would’ve scraped through either of the other years where there were a few wildcards but here, it was literally just Milica, who delivered a banger so just unlucky really.

Shame about the other two acts we lost too, as I say, I know Bladee has some good songs so it’s a shame that it panned out the way it did, even just from a discovery level.

WHERE TO GO NEXT in an open theme. Questions.

The results board will be interesting to see. If Zara was indeed bottom two, I wonder how tight the margin was. 🫣 I expect DOA and Bladee to be firm bottoms in their categories (yes, there are many bottoms in the male category ).

Im shocked by the Tove Lo of it all in the Girls group. Her discography is full of songs that could have smashed this competition i cannot believe she’s the first out!

Not too sad about the Bladee loss but I am sad about Dead or Alive purely just from a discovery standpoint… would love a few suggestions for them once the person behind them is revealed!
