It'll likely be a return to #1 for Taylor Swift's "The Life of a Showgirl" following the release of the 'Encore' edition, while Nothing But Thieves aim for another high debut with "Stray Dogs". Official Charts Report

Taylor Swift could claim all of the Top 3 on this week’s Singles Chart following the release of the Deluxe edition of The Life of a Showgirl.

Patient Zero (1), Cleveland (2) and Pink Clouding (3) are leading the Official Chart: First Look today, with Patient Zero set to become Swift’s eighth Number 1 single if it hangs on. Additionally the tracks would bring Taylor’s UK Top 10 singles count to 37, and Top 40 total to 64.

Stupid Song by Olivia Rodrigo is up 12 places at Number 8 on the First Look, which would mark its highest placing since August if it stays on course, while Madonna’s Danceteria (20) is eyeing up a Top 40 re-entry and a brand new peak this week, following the release of a new remix with Charli XCX, Danceteria Afterhours.

Finally, Cloonee & Prospa are up two places with Good Girl ft. Tristan Henry (27) which would be a new peak for the track.

Westlife had their first 5 number 1 singles within 12 months from charts dated 1 May 1999 to 8 April 2000

pink clouding's got some strong backing from itunes rn, so it's gonna be a slightly tighter race for which of the two tracks will be #2 i suspect

I personally argue that Swift going to chart highly regardless of whether critics hate the song or not is due to name recognition alone.

I hope pink clouding can go on to be a decent hit, patient zero ofc is the biggest as it is the focus track and Cleveland has lots of discourse on social media (because of how bad it is ) but pink clouding is a very solid pop song so I hope it has some legs

Cleveland is marmite , theres just as much love for it as hate online , I have seen plenty of rankings with it being first of the new tracks

i fear it's not going anywhere, 'bad taste' only charted off an insane amount of physicals being sold for her standards. also you seem to 'Cleveland!'s only fan here.

I'm praying for a new peak for Tinashe in the albums. I don't care if it misses the top 40. It MUST go somewhere in the top 75 (#1 ideally ofc x)! She has never had a top 75 album (but then again her albums are terribly restricted here in the UK!). This release seems a lot better although the CD's have seemingly been delayed until 30th October. Ugh.
