1.      Sam Smith – Probaby my favourite Sam Smith ballad, such a stunning song, was always going to be hard to beat.  This contest is making me realise I am a much bigger fan of them than I realised. (Fave)

2.      Darin – Another amazing discovery in this contest, I’ve genuinely loved every song after never hearing of him before

3.      Tom Grennan – His voice, mmmm yes!

4.      Damien Rice – Finally a song by him I like, the last one was utterly dreadful.  This is great though!

5.      Gary Numan – I liked this, maybe his best one so far.

6.      Sam Fender – Not much to say other than it was ok.

7.      Roosevelt – Decent enough.

8.      Calvin Harris – Here for the Sam and Calvin swapping haha, but this song doesn’t really do much for me.

9.      HRVY – Sorry to HRVY but Darin is the vastly superior pop twink in this contest! (Least)

He looks a good decade younger but Darin is actually touching 40.

Before I start, I just want to say how close this round was. I scored them all out of ten before ranking them accordingly, and they were all within 1.5 points of each other!

Always enjoyed Desire. Much prefer it to Promises actually! Tom and both Sams also delivering decent bops.

The Twinks™ both kinda under-delivered for me here. I fear HRVYs now in slow decline whilst I much preferred Darin’s previous Swedish entry. The key change was appreciated though!

The bottom 3 were also pleasant enough. I just wish Roosevelt’s song kinda went somewhere as it had some promise! Even Gary’s was pleasant (and his best so far) so kinda sad to still have to put him last!

He was runner up in Swedish Idol in 2004! Funny story - they actually did a Big Band week and he sang When I Fall In Love.

In the end he finished two places higher than Loreen (!).

Agnes won the show the following year.
