Thursday at 21:521 day AGNES 😭😭😭1000% the song I would’ve picked in her mentors shoes too. I was sure Zara was a goner under Iz’s supervision but I agree that Symphony is a pretty undeniable moment for her and one of my favourite songs of all time, so when I saw that was selected, I definitely hoped she’d stay. Same for Sophie as Catch You has always been one of my favourites. Both of the boys who went kinda felt like they were on borrowed time so that was the least shocking but I definitely enjoyed HRVY this whole way and Good Vibes is the best song I know of his so went out on a high for sure. That was all very gaggy, well done Calum for pulling it off and for all of the judges who took part.

Thursday at 22:071 day Wow, that Females 6 Chair Challenge was brutal. They all came to play.Well done to @Calum, @Rogue, @Iz様 🌟 and @Jaz13music on what must’ve been a very challenging round.Regardless of whether or not I progressed or lost my chair, or even participated you all did so well. Thursday at 22:491 day I was otherwise occupied this evening and only dipping in and out, but I've just caught up on the whole thread now. It was just as brutal as I was expecting!Really sorry to whoever lost an act tonight (which may or may not have included me, that's if I hadn't already been eliminated, which I may or may not have done).Years & Years - they definitely had more to give in the contest so it's a shame to lose them.HRVY - ngl I am a little bit gutted he's out before bangers like 'Million Ways' and 'Me Because Of You' got their moment to shine (hopefully one of those will be sent to Gamu anyway)Damien Rice - I can't say I cared for him too much outside of 'Cannonball' and he was gonna get eliminated sooner rather than later anywayiamamiwhoami - apologies to their mentor but they really were not my cup of tea so I don't really have strong feelings about them goingAgnes - the female category was always gonna be the most brutal for elims but 'Here Comes The Night' is probably my favourite Agnes song so it's a shame she went out on that but also good she went out on a highLeona Lewis - again she had so much more to give but personally I feel 'Footprints' was a bit of a weak pick from her and she'd have probably survived a different song but c'est la vie!Looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings - bring on the agonising over my next song choice (if I am still in the competition...) I am fully backing you to receive the Gamu vote however that plays out because out of the 6 casualties, I think you are the one that suffered the worst. The rest, I think we’re on borrowed time and really aren’t too shocking at all.To @Calum thank you for trying something that mixes things up, it’s caused a lot of conversation and drama, it’s fun.
22 hours ago22 hr A tough round of course. Leona I can mostly take or leave but “Better In Time” is one of my favourites so it was nice to get that. Agnes certainly has moments of brilliance and I wondered if we’d be getting a second Bop Idol winning song in here at some point. For me iamamiwhoami has been the most interesting artist discovery of the competition (with Roosevelt second). I have to feel for Years & Years even though they’re less to my taste as they’d probably have got through a full vote.Despite being a singer songwriter fan I don’t know Damien’s work as well as I should so it’s been lovely exploring more. And the competition wouldn’t be quite the same without its twink representation. That does feel like the category where a full vote would have most likely aligned with the result though.
21 hours ago21 hr Sorry but Agnes was totally robbed there. The round was bring your best and she… did? Yet she was judged on past performance and future expectations - and now she can’t even re-use it for Gamu lmao!! (No shade to Iz - horrible, unenviable task and decisions had to be made!)

I was exhausted by the end yesterday, but I'll listen through the playlist and will comment more on the songs after that.
20 hours ago20 hr Does it make it worse or better for Agnes supporters if I make it clear ‘Here Comes The Night’ was bottom of my rank

Think it’s just a frustrating way for anyone to exit.Battles are just as bad though Edited 19 hours ago19 hr by ElectroBoy

It's not fair on the acts that don't need them.Choosing your quote here Rollo but it applies to others who have made similar statements as I’m not sure I understand the logic behind this at all. It’s like inventing a reason that isn’t part of the rules and then suggesting it’s unfair? Why is it not okay for someone to feature with a song that they collaborated on with a known artist and share credits, but then people would be fine with songs where the artist is the only named person but still collaborated with producers and writers, just less famous ones who don’t get a credit?I think all of the features/collabs included so far have been entirely within the spirit of the contest so far with the act being the only notable singer - exception of Bladee of course! - and also all being part of the original recording and release. Same principle for Tubeway Army being fine for Gary Numan as well. I’d understand the logic a bit more it if it was something like Save Your Tears for Ariana Grande where people dial in a verse for a re-release single, but these collabs have been ones that have been main parts of the acts’ catalogues.
