People who are saying GA are doing well just because of x factor is just rediculous!!! Most people think the new songs is aces and the fact that it is selling well consistently means that it actually is because of the song!!!

 

Well done to them for the album and also the fact the song looks set to clear 200k this week after just three weeks on the chart. :wub:

I agree, but all i am saying is you cant continually refer back to old sales when the market was different. Look at the all saints. Their new success was nothing like their old stuff and the record label took this onboard.

Record labels dont look at old album sales, they look at what the artist is selling now.

You cant release new albums and lose/make little money and say ohhhhh its ok, one of their old albums sold over a million so it doesnt matter.

Didn't Pink sell around 35K last week? I doubt she'll fall out of the Top 10 with even a modest (20%) decline in sales for "So What". Otherwise the #10 would be selling more than 28K (which is massive)!!

Just to point out, tangled up was no2 in first day mids but fell to no4 by sunday last year so its not in the bag.
