February 16, 201115 yr Hmmm... Adele, TT and M&S being combined makes perfect sense and I suppose Forget You is technically a remix and should be combined, but it'd be ridiculous to combine WBTSO to Pass Out or SSP to She Said.
February 16, 201115 yr Hmm. I'd rather they combined the medley with Miami 2 Ibiza tbh. It does seem a bit arbritrary them combining it to Pass Out though. I bet if Written in the Stars was his lead single, they'd combine it with that aswell. That said, it would be nice to see Pass Out get a few more sales. :D
February 16, 201115 yr That said, it would be nice to see Pass Out get a few more sales. :D But it's not real sales though, so it seems a bit unfair. It's nice to see a song doing well, but if it's not actually sales of the song, it's false sucess. Edited February 16, 201115 yr by starryeyed
February 16, 201115 yr For some reason, some of my posts are coming up twice . Sorry. Don't press Add Reply twice. :P Hmm. :D Their logic in combining it to Pass Out probably comes from the fact the medley's title is a lyric from Pass Out. I really hope they change their mind though, combining WBTSO to anything is completely stupid, it's a medley of three different songs and should be classed as a song of its own... February 16, 201115 yr Don't press Add Reply twice. :P I think it has something to do with me accidently pressing the "back" button sometimes .
February 16, 201115 yr But it's not real sales though, so it seems a bit unfair. It's nice to see a song doing well, but if it's not actually sales of the song, it's false sucess. True. Although, to be fair, a lot of songs have remixes that are essentially a different song to the original, and they get combined too. I guess whatever they decide to do, I'll just look at the good side of it all. I always though, imagine they decided to combine the two versions of Empire State of Mind! :o Part of me wishes they did, but on the other hand, it would've been really annoying having it in the top 40 for 9 months or whatever. And the two versions are a bit different, with a different lead artist I guess.
February 16, 201115 yr I have a feeling Jessie J will be no1 again on sunday, its now no1 on itunes. Isn't Adele #1 when combined though? edit: Though maybe it is too late for Adele now, to be #1 on Sunday Edited February 16, 201115 yr by Jack Sykes
February 16, 201115 yr Isn't Adele #1 when combined though? Yes, but she's got to come from #18 in today's midweeks which is virtually unprecedented. Jessie J was 6k behind GaGa (or was it 9?) on Tuesday, she's probably got a better chance.
February 16, 201115 yr I think Adele will be number 1 by Sunday - huge lead on iTunes now and at number 1 and 4
February 17, 201115 yr Author Interesting chart battle this week, Adele coming from nowhere on the back of the BRITs, Lady Gaga looks like she have to settle for #2 or #3, sales must be very high for all 3 tracks, Adele's album must be selling rockets, her album could easily sustain another week or 2 at #1.

The two versions of ESOM resemble each other far more than Pass Out / Brits performance. Combining the two would be farcical. It would be like adding Jive Bunny's sales to a random choice of one of the songs they used.
February 17, 201115 yr Adele with 'Rolling in the Deep' may be #6 this week, #2-#3-#4-#5-#6  Hope it is :P Great chart run so happy its doing so well still even with the huge album sales! SLY FOR #1!
February 17, 201115 yr Author The top 5 could be all download tracks, the only tracks inside the top 10 that has physicals attached seem to be Adele [RITD], JLS and Chipmunk.
February 17, 201115 yr I think Adele's album sales will be even more of a shock than last week (whispers it - 200,000 - runs and hides)....
February 17, 201115 yr Author Adele #3 in the singles chart, Gaga #1, Adele #1 in the albums, update coming shortly
February 17, 201115 yr Author Adele's Brits performance goes to number one on iTunes chart Source: MW 10:46 | Thursday February 17, 2011 By Ben Cardew Adele’s version of Someone Like You live from the Brits has climbed to number one on the iTunes UK charts, with the original recording at four. This year was the first time that all of the live performances from the Brits were made available to download from iTunes immediately after the event, following the release of Dizzee Rascal and Florence + The Machine’s You Got The Dirtee Love last year. That song got to number two but it looks like Adele could provide an even bigger hit: as well as topping the iTunes chart, Someone Like You has risen to three in midweek sales flashes, from 43 last week. In addition, her album 21 looks certain to top the albums chart for the fourth straight week: it has sold more than 90,000 copies so far this week, more than 60,000 ahead of its nearest competitor, Bruno Mars’ Doo-Wops & Hooligans. Lower down the iTunes top 100, there are four more songs live from the Brits: Take That’s Kidz (currently at 28); Plan B’s She Said Prayin’ (37), Mumford & Sons Timshel (43) and Cee Lo Green and Paloma Faith’s Forget You at 45. It is not currently clear if sales of Brits downloads are eligible for the Official Charts Company chart. On the albums chart, Mumford & Sons, Tinie Tempah, Plan B and Arcade Fire – who all performed and won awards at the Brits – appear to be the greatest beneficiaries in sales terms outside of Adele. Mumford’s Sigh No More - winner of best British album - looks set to climb back into the top five from 15; Tinie’s Disc-Overy should go back into the top 10 from 25, as should Plan B’s The Defamation of Strickland Banks from 24. As well as playing live at the Brits, Arcade Fire won two awards and this has helped their latest album The Suburbs back up the charts: it should go back into the top 20 from 52 last week. Laura Marling was the surprise winner of British female solo artist at the Brits. She didn’t play live on the night but her triumph has sent her most recent album I Speak Because I Can back up the charts from outside the top 75. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thursday Update Top 40 Only Singles 1 Lady Gaga (57,285) 2 Jessie J/B.o.B [PT] 3 Adele [sLY] 4 Chipmunk/Chris Brown 5 Adele Top 10 6 JLS/Tinie Tempah 7 Rihanna [s&M] Top 15 Pink Far East Movement 15 You Me At Six/Chiddy Top 30 Cee-Lo Green 24 Adele [MYFML] 27 Rihanna [OG] Top 40 Tinie Tempah [PO] Glee Cast [TD] Glee Cast [sMU/LOAP] Tinie Tempah & Eric Turner Take That [Kidz] ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Albums 1 Adele (90k) 2 Bruno Mars (30k) 3 Rihanna 4 Mumford & Sons 5 Adele [19] Top 10 6 PJ Harvey Tinie Tempah Plan B Top 15 Cee-Lo Green Top 20 Pink Arcade Fire Top 30 Mogwai 24 JLS Script Andre Rieu Top 40 Laura Marling Gruff Rhys Bright Eyes XX NO SALES INFO ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ARTIST UPDATES Singles Chris 5+4 Ke$ha 5+5 Taio Cruz 6+6 Jessie J 7+6 Enrique 8+8 Rihanna/Drake 10+10 Katy Perry 11+11+12 Britney 30+8 Albums Katy Perry 10+9 Lady Gaga 14+14 BEPs 30+7 Kings Of Leon 31+4
February 17, 201115 yr If Adele is already @ #3 up from #18, she is surely #1 at the end of the week???
February 17, 201115 yr If Adele is already @ #3 up from #18, she is surely #1 at the end of the week??? Yeh i agree - Adele has it in the bag now i reckon.
February 17, 201115 yr Would be interesting to see what the sales difference is at the moment. I hope Adele can do it; but I think Jessie J may get a 3rd week due to consistancy - but I hope i'm wrong :D SLY FTW!
