It's amazing how high "On the Floor" is still. Is it a contender for one of the biggest selling singles of 2011?

Yeah. I think it could end up in the top 10 best-selling songs of 2011. Someone Like You is the #1 though, and miles ahead of everything else.

Pete, LISTEN.

She passed away 7 hours before the chart cut off for the week. It is highly unlikely any songs sold enough to chart this week.

well according to the Big Top 40 show, 6 songs are re-entering their charts today: Quote

There's already a battle for the top spot as The Wanted try to hold on for a third week and hold back tomorrow's big new release from JLS but now the boy bands could get pushed aside by Amy's 2007 hit 'Back To Black'.

As of 11pm on Saturday 'Back To Black' had already made its way in to the top 30 with 'Rehab', 'Tears Dry On Their Own', 'Love Is A Losing Game' and 'You Know I'm No Good' and her collaboration with producer Mark Ronson, 'Valerie' following not too far behind.

Sigh.

The Big 40 is not the same as this chart. No songs sold enough to get into the top 75 in the short interval between the news breaking and the cut off for this week.

Understand yet?

I have actually started to Like Right There by Nicole Scherzinger that I've just downloaded it after hearing it played on the chart not long ago. It's really grown on me as for the Lazy song, it never will.

The Big Top 40 Show uses live iTunes charts for its top 10, and includes airplay from commercial radio stations for #11-#30.

So the charts can end up quite different sometimes. On the Big Top 40 Show they get all sorts of weird thing happening. Songs sometimes chart twice in the same chart, for example. And if a song falls out of the top 10 on iTunes during the show, it doesn't chart at all.

Sounds like the 2011 biggest sellers list is going to be a lot of fun then  Nothing cheesy or annoying on it from what I'm guessing at the moment

The Big Top 40 is done completely differently to the Official chart though isn't it?

I mean they have the Wanted at 2 weeks at number 1 as off last week - when its only been out 2 weeks today - they'll have JLS at the top this week as they go from the live Itunes top 10 (or something like that)

Its basically a weirdo chart and a funny way of doing things

That's the BIG Top 40, this is the OFFICIAL Top 40. The other one is based on iTunes and airplay through the whole week including Sunday, and this one is based on sales from all download sites and physical sales up to midnight on Sunday morning. Therefore that chart is DIFFERENT to this one, and there will NOT be any re-entries by Amy Winehose. There wasn't enough TIME.

lmfao looks set to be number 2 in a few weeks!!

Ah, so the deluxe BTB is still counted separately. Hopefully that doesn't stop it from being #1 next week...

#88 isn't too bad for BTB (song) :D Hopefully she will have 8 songs top 100 and at least 2 top 40 next week.
